The Cambridge bats came to life in the seventh as they batted around to put seven runs on the board and 18 hits total. Josh Desai got the win pitching six innings and striking out four. Backed by the strong pitching of Mario Padovani and a strong defense, the Cambridge Spinners beat the Boston Bison in game one of their quarterfinal series 3-1. Padovani went the distance, giving up one run on six hits while striking out four. Cambridge got on the board thanks to Boston errors, as Kyle Maglio and Alex Benson scored. Tyler Bailey walked and scored on a wild pitch. Ramon Cortorreal doubled and scored the lone Bison run in the first.
