Julian Alvarez singled in 2 runs in the bottom of the second to give Lexington the lead for good and send the Blue Sox on to a 6-1 over Malden. Cam Meyer and Pete John also drove in runs for the Blue Sox.
Matt Karis earned the win pitching 4 innings giving up 3 hits and an unearned run. He struck out 5, including four of the first 5 batters he faced.
Ryan Rametta doubled and scored on a passed ball for the lone Madddogs run.
Ben Burke took the loss pitching 4 innings, giving up 5 hits, 4 runs, 6 strikeouts.
