The Giants defeated the Red Sox, 11-1, in 6 innings by combining a strong offensive attack with stellar pitching. Eric Bennett improved to 4-0 with a complete game gem, allowing just 4 hits and 1 walk. The only Red Sox run scored on an infield pop-up that resulted in a defensive miscue.
