Though out-hit 9-8, the Havoc came out on top in the run category, 8-3, to defeat the South Shore Giants.
Chris Dowd had a monster game with 3 hits, driving in 2 runs with a 2nd inning single and 2 more runs with a 4th inning double. Yale Wolf also had 2 hits and 2 RBI, while Rommel Peguero smacked a few hits as well.
Mitch Philibert improved to a career best 6-0, allowing 6 scattered hits and 2 earned runs over 5 innings. His 2.14 ERA keeps him on the leaderboard, as do his 52.1 innings pitched and 42 strikeouts. Newcomer Oscar Cordera pitched the final 2 frames to close out the game, allowing just an unearned runner, that reached on a mile high fly ball to the outfield, and 3 hits.
Jordan Siu was not hit by a pitch, because he wasn't there. Pablo Lora caught his second career game in Siu's absence, and looked spectacular. Havoc are 2-0 with Lora catching pitches. |

Bombers make it 13 in a row with a 12-0 win against the visiting South Shore Giants at The Wood.
Doc Desroches got things going early with a 2-run triple that sparked a 7-run first inning. Ted Dziuba would later add a 2-run triple of his own en route to a 3-3 night at the plate.
Anthony Del Prete and Dan Godfrey combined for the 5-inning shutout, scattering 3 hits. Kevin O'Hara's 3 runs and Mike Borghi/Dave Lightbody's 3 RBI's paced the offense.
The Bombers now head to Norwood for some Sunday Night Baseball action against the host South Shore Spartans @ Balch Field.

In a see-saw battle, the Spinners won their third in a row with a 6-4 win over the South Shore Giants. Tied 4-4 in the seventh, Ricky Salvia singled in Adam Johnson to take the lead. Drew Risk drove in a run for insurance in the seventh.
Dan Blomerth won in relief, pitching three innings and allowing only two hits.
Alex McCormack led the Giants with two hits, including a double and scored a run. Darrell Tillmon pitched six innings with five strikeouts. |

Backed by a 7-run inning in the 4th, the Senators come from behind to pull off the 15-10 victory in a high-scoring back-and-forth affair that ended after 6 due to the time constraint.
Six players had multiple hits for the Senators, including the No. 1 through 4 hitters (Hartwell, Power, Sorrentino, Martin), who combined to go 9-for-14 with 9 RBI's and 9 runs scored.
Nate Beck earned the W, tossing 2.2 innings of relief, while striking out 4.
Eddie Guerrero (2-4, 2B, 3R) and Carlos Escano (2-3, 3B, R, 3 RBI's) had multi-hit games for the Giants in the loss. |
