Matt "Lights Out" Donato continues his assault on opposing offenses; tonight throwing 5 innings, striking out 4, and only allowing 1 hit to get the win for Palmer. Skipper JP Songin rolled the dice by allowing "Mad" Max Iorio to come out of the pen for the final two innings and it paid off. He really cut into that ERA (thanks to outstanding defense in right field by the one and only JP Songin). Songin managed to have another multi hit performance as well going 2-3. Not a ton of offense on the night, but the team was able to put together good at bats and muster several walks that were key in this one. Defense on the night was spectacular as well. |

Trafecanty struck out 9 through 6 innings scattering 3 hits and allowed 1 unearned run. Suffolk flamethrower George Breslin came in for the 7th to slam the door shut. The Palmer bats were hot again with contributions coming throughout the lineup. Suffolk University was well represented on the night with Brandon Bukowski (4-5), Max Iorio (3-4), and Chris White(1-2)combining to go 8-11 on the night. Ted Williams Songin continues to rake as he was 3-3 on the night. The Jim Reaper Perron was 2-4 with a double and Eric "Shortly" Longley was also 2-4 with a double. Update on the injury front; Alex Venditti has been spotted at the beach "working out" and has been on a strict training regiment. He's implemented a lot of fishing into his rehab. Apparently the casting motion is a strong workout... |
