Boston Athletics 7, TJO Sports 4
A's get ahead early but TJO finally gets to Wong for 4 in the 6th. A one out walk to Wong and single from Carrera set up Katsiroubas with a game tying single in the top of the 7th. Matty Kerin took the ball from Wong in the 6th and was shut down for 2+ innings as the A's put up 3 unearned runs in the top of the 8th and hold on for the Series win.
Congrats to TJO on a solid season and a memorable playoff series. |

Sabers Baseball 9, TJO Sports 7
Sabers' Nick Johnson earns his sixth win, to cap off a terrific season on the mound.
Johnson struck out 11 batters, to add to his Boston Park League single season strikeout record of a whopping 124 strikeouts through 61 innings pitched. Johnson passed Bret Urban of Grossman Marketing who had 97 strikeouts in 2012. (Since the inception of the 400hitter in 2007.)
Angelo Colucci led the Saber offense with 2 hits and 4 RBI.
Ian Strom also had 2 hits and 3 RBI.
Alan Avila earned the save.
The Sabers would like to thank President Walter Bentson and the Boston Park League for a fun inaugural season. |

Palmer Club 7, TJO Sports 3
Palmer Club takes the victory with a huge performance from Matt Donato. The D-Train threw a 120+ pitch complete game, striking out 12 batters and scattering only 4 hits. The bullpen desperately needed a night off. This keeps Palmer in the playoff hunt as they won 2 of 3 this week. Offensively Palmer Club was led by Jose "The Vacuum" Toledano, JT was 3-3 on the night with a double and a pair of RBI's. He's referred to as the vacuum because everyone says he really sucks. WPI's own Steve Gallagher was 2-3 with a double and pair of RBI's as well. Gal's been spending a lot of time on the range working on that golf swing and it's really showing. Eric Shortley has been hot of late. He had his second straight multi hit game going 2-3 with a double and pair of RBI's. Will his hot streak continue???? |
