What shaped up to be a pitcher's duel, into the 6th knotted at 1, ended up with the A's on top behind a 3-run dong from Chris DeGiacomo in the top of the 6th. Jon Shephard pitched well through 6th only allowing 1 run on the night and picking up the win to improve to 1-0 in the post-season. Pat shore came in the 7th to close it out.

The ME/GM offense is led by Elvis Peralta, Alex Cappitelli, Anibal Pena and Idelson Taveras. Second baseman, Kebler Peralta, makes a spectacular catch with a full backward dive well into the outfield. Jason Leonard has three hits for ADSL.

Nick Hohenstein ended the 6th with an outfield assist and the comeback rally ensued. Down 3-1 with with only three outs left, Grossman proceeded to plate 5 runs in the 7th, sparked by a long Hohenstein double that cut the deficit to 1. Alex Cappitelli followed with a grounder that tied the game; he then successfully orchestrated a double steal on which Hohenstein scored the go-ahead run. Idelson Taveras and Elvis Peralta then delivered singles that drove in two more insurance runs. Hohenstein took the mound for the bottom of the 7th, pitching a clean inning with 2 K's to wrap up Grossman's 11th W of the season.

Grossman climbs into 2nd place in the standings with a hard-fought win. TJO's Kevin Zarnock and Grossman's John Witkowski locked horns in a low-scoring affair. Zarnock went the distance, striking out 8. For Grossman, Witkowski pitched well through 4 before turning the ball over to Nick Hohenstein in the 5th inning. He followed with three scoreless innings to seal the W. Anibal Pena paced the Grossman offense with a couple of hits including the game-winning RBI. The bottom of 7th was not without its drama: facing a 1st and 2nd situation with nobody out, Hohenstein struck out the next batter that then induced a ground ball to 3B Anibal Pena, who stepped on 3rd and threw across to 1st to complete a game-ending double play.

Grossman kicks the week off with a bang, as Chris Deane (4-4, HR, 4R, 4RBI) and Nick Hohenstein (4-5, 2B, 4R, RBI) provide a major offensive spark and the pitching committee pounds the zone and combines on a three-hitter. Anibal Pena, Alex Cappitelli, and newcomer Mike O'Brien had three hits apiece. Cappitelli, playing LF, also made an outstanding catch, robbing a Towne Club batter of what looked to be a HR.

Led by newcomer Nolan Hughes, Grossman pitchers combined to notch 12 K's in a victory over Towne Club. Dylan McNary (3-3, 2 3B, 4RBI, SB, SF) and Nick Hohenstein (1-3 2RBI) combined to drive in all 6 Grossman runs. McNary also stepped on the mound to squash a Towne Club rally, stranding the tying run on base in the 6th and then striking out the side in the 7th to record his first save of the season. The scrappy combination of Joe Stackhouse, Bryan Guerrero and Idelson Taveras at the bottom of the lineup combined to score 5 of the 6 Grossman runs.

Grossman prevails in a back and forth game, sparked by the pitching of Jake Normile (4IP, 3H) and the bats of Dylan McNary (3-4, 2B, 2R, SB) and Nick Hohenstein (2-4, 2B, R, RBI). Bryan Guerrero contributed the real heroics: down 4-3 in the 6th, he smacked a go-ahead 2-run HR to give Grossman the lead for good. Hohenstein closed it out with 2 innings of scoreless ball to pick up the save.

Kunaal Verma pitched three solid innings before turning the ball over to Colin Stephenson, who battled out of a tight jam in the 5th to preserve the lead. Nick Hohenstein, who went 3-4 at the plate, threw a clean 7th inning to record the save.

Towne clubs earns it's first victory of the year! "Moose" Bussiere tossed 3 scoreless innings and struck out 6 to set the tone. Alex Venditti drove in Jim Perron for the Towne Club's 1st run of the game as Venditti was able to leg out a triple in the first! In the 2nd after reaching base on a walk, Anthony Capuano was able to score on a Ben Suski sac fly to right. In the 3rd Jim Perron whallopped a double to deep right and later scored on another line drive double to left by Anthony Capuano. In the top of the 6th Grossman was able to score 1 run on 3 consecutive hits. In the bottom of the 6th Towne club answered right back as Steve "Human Highlight Reel" Gallagher lined a double to left and later took matters into his own hands scoring a run on a wild pitch with a wild dive/slide into home plate. In the 7th Grossman mounted a comeback scoring 2, but Howell Eglin was there to shut the door for Towne Clus first win of the season.
