Towne Club came out swinging on Wednesday night. Alex Venditti led the way with 2 home runs. (Venditti took advantage of a strong wind and short porch in right). Venditti needed to leave the game early due to being hit in the foot by a slow curveball. Hopefully he can guster up the strength to make it to the next game.

Grossman kicks the week off with a bang, as Chris Deane (4-4, HR, 4R, 4RBI) and Nick Hohenstein (4-5, 2B, 4R, RBI) provide a major offensive spark and the pitching committee pounds the zone and combines on a three-hitter.

Anibal Pena, Alex Cappitelli, and newcomer Mike O'Brien had three hits apiece. Cappitelli, playing LF, also made an outstanding catch, robbing a Towne Club batter of what looked to be a HR.

Towne Club prevails in a low scoring affair. James Bussier picks up the win. Kyle Zembsh was first in relief for the 3rd and 4th innings and Dave Larsen made his Towne Club debut to pick up the save. The lone run of the night came in the second inning. Alex Venditti caught the Braves napping and picked up an extremely rare stolen base to get into scoring position. This may have been his first theft in the last decade. With runners now on the corners Matt Cote hit a sharp ground ball to the first basemen; he stepped on first and Ben"Showtime"Suski made an intelligent decision to stay in a run down long enough for the cement footed Venditti to score the lone run of the night.
