The Bay State Pirates held on to beat the Weymouth Black Sox to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. Paul Aseltine was stellar on the mound, yet his defense almost let the game slip away in the fifth with 5 unearned runs. Todd Elkin had a big pinch hit RBI single to tie the game in the 6th, and Dan Brookfield plated the go ahead run with an RBI single in the 8th for the extra inning win.
