The Braves needed a win tonight to keep their playoff hopes alive and they certainly made that happen. Scoring 12 runs on 6 hits, the Braves took hold in the 3rd inning putting up 11 runs and didn't look back. The Braves pitching staff also combined for a no hitter through the 5 inning mercy ruled game. Chris Delouchrey pitched 3 innings with 4 strikeouts and 4 walks. Alex McKeown came in to finish it up for the last 2 innings and had 5 strikeouts. Corey Schwartz lead the way with the bat going 2-2 with 2 runs, 2 RBIs, a walk and a stolen base. The Braves will travel to Lawrence Sunday to take on the Yankees in another must win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

In a well pitched game on both sides, the Senators beat the Dodgers 5-1. Christian Nashawaty went the distance for the Send, picking up his third win on the season. The Senators only mustered five hits against the Dodger pitching.

A hard fought game by both teams. Marlins were down early but kept up with the dodgers aggressive lineup. Errors almos doomed the fish but rallied to tie it at 6 in the 7th to head into extras. Santana with another shaky start although the defense didn’t help him. Danny Jacobs made his Marlins debut pitching an inning and a third of scoreless ball. For the 8th and 9th inning a legend returned :)Manny Powers came in and pitched 2 scoreless innings with 6 Ks and earned the W. Gas was thrown. Much needed win for the fish.

The Royals bats kept rolling Thursday night defeating the Malden Dodgers 14-0. Matt Bui picked up his 5th win on the year pitching 4 shut out innings. The offense scored 14 runs on 11 hits led by Nico Rodriguez (3-3, 2R 2 2B, 2RBI) and James O'Neil (2-2, 3R, BB). Mike Ahearn added a 3 run triple and Brian Williams legged out a 3 run inside the park homerun.

After a tough loss to the Giants, the Royals bounced right back against the Dodgers putting up 15 runs on 16 hits and coming away with the win. 6 starters had multiple hits including Mike Ahearn (3-4, 2R, 2B, 2RBI, 4SB), James O'Neil (2-3, 3R, 2 2B, RBI, BB), Scott Weber (2-4, 2R,RBI), Bryan Weber (2-3, 2R, 3RBI, SAC fly), Nico Rodriguez (2-4, 2B, 2RBI), and Dominic Coviello (2-3, R, RBI, SB). Matt Bui picks up his 3rd win on the mound.

Paul Aseltine got his first win of the year. The Pirates plated 5 runs in the first inning. Jory Curran delivered the big blow, a bases loaded double. That was all that Aseltine needed as he went 6 strong innings with 9 strikeouts and only 2 walks and 4 hits.

The Expos bats came alive in the night cap as Alex Hall 1-3 with a double and 2 RBI and Julian Picard 2-4 with a double, lead the charge.

Tyler Brodeur spun a 2 hit gem striking out 11 in the opening game of a double header at vaunted World Series Park.

The offense was lead by Nick Dill who hit a solo homer in the bottom of the first and by Matty Marchant who went 3-3 with 2 doubles. Alex Hall was 2-3 with 2 RBI

The Dodgers got on the board early with a 2 out rally in the first that would see them score 3. They would score one more in the second, and that would be all -- The Giants bats erupted for 15 runs (7 run 4th) and won 15-4.

Through the first three games of the season, The Giants are averaging just over 11 runs per game, while only allowing an average of 3 runs scored against per game -- a ratio The Giants sure hope to keep going.

Next up are the rebranded A's, FKA the Indians for two at Fraser Field next Sunday.

The Senators took the season opener against the Malden Dodgers. Jason Erhardt picked up right where he left off from his 2017 Cy Young campaign with 6 strong innings giving up 1 hit, 1 unearned run, and striking out 14. Tom Nashawaty paced the offense with 2 hits and an RBI. The Senators are back in action next Sunday against new division rivals, Lexington Braves, while the Dodgers head up north to take on the Giants in Lynn.
