Marlins shot out of the gate for the first time in forever with 5 runs. it was fueled by Andrew Ricci Manny Powers and Ricky Mendez who all recorded hits in the first inning. Marlins didn't let up much later in the game when they recorded 8 runs in the next 3 innings. In the 5th, the Marlins scored 4 more runs to make it 17-0. Beny Sanatan started the game and oitched 3 scoreless innings and receiving the win. Newcomer Danny Jacobs got his second appearance and pitched another scoreless inning. Nick Powers returned from a 3 week departure from the NECBL and pitched a scoreless inning with 3 Ks. Marlins play the red hot senators on sunday. |

After coming off a tough Friday loss the Braves bounced back that Sunday when they made their way to World Series Park in Saugus for an afternoon matchup with the Black Sox. Chris Delouchrey did his job per usual pitching a 6 inning complete game shutout letting up only 1 hit and pounding the strike zone finishing with 8 strike outs. Roger Wilson lead the way for the Braves bats going 2-3 with a 3 run shot, a double, 3 RBIs, a run scored, and a stolen base. The Braves are at home on Mother's Day weekend with a rare Saturday afternoon game vs the Red Dogs of Pepperell. |

Giants pick up the 14-2 win in a 5 inning shortened game versus the Black Sox. Mark Infurna (1-0) pitched a gem yielding only 3 hits, 2 unearned runs and tallied 9 Ks through 4 strong in his first start of the year.
Giants' bats from top to bottom were relentless throughout and the G-Men are now 2-0 on the young season. By the looks of things, it appears the Giants are going to have a really fun year. |

The Canton Royals opened the 2018 season today with a win over the Saugus Black Sox (formerly Billerica Warriors). After battling in the cold to a 1-1 game, the Royals offense scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 6th capped off by a two run double by newcomer Shawn Clapp.
The Royals take on the Lawrence Yankees next Sunday in Canton.
