Classic Giants/Gators. Giants took the early lead, plating the 1st batter of the game, but Gators starter Bryan Watkins settled in, holding the Giants scoreless for the duration. Giants starter Mark Blake was likewise dominant, keeping the Gators off the board until a Kyle Hansen RBI single tied it up in the 5th. With 2 outs in the 7th and bases loaded, Chris Carey drove a ball to left for the Gators win.

Mark Infurna (3-0) outdueled Ricky Garthe to pick up his 3rd win of the year. Fourteen hits between the two teams but most untimely, and did not materialize into many runs as both pitchers were able to get outs when they mattered most. Infurna has now pitched back to back complete game shutouts and has yet to give up an earned run through 18 innings.
