With the season on the line Cameron Fiorentino toed the slab and showed up for his ball club. Pitching in front of a defensive minefield- Cam gave up only 3 hits and K-d 6 and more importantly made pitches every time he needed one to keep the vaunted Malden offense at bay.
He was propped up by the opportunist Expos offense who managed 5 runs in the top of the first on 0 hits, including a 2 run suicide squeeze.
Malden finishes the season with the league's best regular season record. |

Chris DeLouchrey turned in another masterful performance against one of the best teams in the league. He struck out 14 Cardinals while only allowing 1 earned run. It was Delouchrey's 4th complete game of the year and 4th double-digit strikeout performance. While the bats didn't come alive until 5th inning, it was timely hitting by Grofi Cruzi who sliced a 2-run double down the line to take the lead after Andrew Ricci's 2-run single to tie it. This was the lowest hit total for the Braves in a win on the season. |

Tommy Scalisi went the distance for his 4th win of the season. Scalisi struck out 1 and allowed only 3 hits. He ran into some trouble in the 6th but came back strong in the 7th to shut the door. Nick Valdario accounted for half of the offense scoring twice on a walk and a hit. Andrew Ricci and Connor Marr each had an RBI to knock Valdario in. This was Andrew Ricci's 15th straight game with a hit. |

The Braves offense was in full-force Thursday night. Andrew Ricci, Connor Marr, Claudio Valencia and Dan Cottrell all had multi-hit games combining for 10 of the 12 Brave hits. Valencia added to hit total with 2 RBI on the day. The real story of the night was Chris DeLouchrey striking out 19 batters allowing 4 hits and no earned runs. |

The Dodgers came out swinging and took and early 2-0 lead. The Braves struck right back plating 15 while scoring in every subsequent inning. Jon Argetsinger and Claudio Valencia led the charge with a combines 9 RBI. Joe Attanasio pitched well through 4 but couldn't get out of the 5th. DeLouchrey closed the door pitching 2 innings in a tuneup before the Wednesday game against the Cardinals |

Canton Royals 12, E. Mass Devil Rays 2
The Royals took on the red hot Malden Braves who came into today winning their last 10 games. Chris Johnson took to the mound for the Royals the threw 6 innings of four hit ball and allowed only 2 runs (both unearned). With the game tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 5th, Mike Ahearn broke the tie with an RBI groundout and Derek Palatino capped off the inning with a two run single. The Royals tacked on 7 more runs in the sixth as the Braves relief pitching struggled to find the plate and Kevin Ceurvels and Mike McKie each added two run singles in the inning.
The Royals take on the North Shore Giants next week at Fraser Field in Lynn.

The Braves extend their win streak to 10 as the squeak by the Mariners 4-2. Chris DeLouchrey gets his third consecutive win keeping him undefeated on the season. Chris struck out 8 while allowing only 3 hits. Aaron Jamal had the perfect game at lead-ff going 3-3 with 2 runs and a stolen base. Grofi Cruz pinch-hit for Andrew DiNisco knocking in the go-ahead runs. |

The braves spread the wealth with 7 braves recording hits. Claudio Valenca racked up two of them on his way to a 2-3 day with a RBI |

The Braves moved their win streak to 9 games and have continued a perfect June and July. Joe Attanasio pitched a strong 4 innings in his second start of the season. He struck out 4 allowing 5 hits moving to 2-0. Nick Valdario turned a ground ball right at the center fielder into a double in the first at bat of the game for the Braves and never looked back. They had hits in every inning (12 total) and had enough runs to solidify a win by the time the second inning came to a close. |

The Braves kept their winning streak going by putting up 9 runs on the Red Tide. Tommy Scalisi moved to 3-0 on the season going 4.2 innings and striking out 5. He gave up only 1 earned run and came out in the 5th after walking a batter to put a run in scoring position. Joe Attanasio came in to close the door going the last 2.1 innings. The Braves offense was the story of the day though recording 9 hits, 9 of which by the 1-2-3 hitters - Nick Valdario, Andrew Ricci and Grofi Cruz. Cruz added to his impressive day with 5 RBI. |

Firing on all cylinders, the Braves took on the Expos at their home field Sunday Morning. Once again the offense didn't disappoint as both Andrew Ricci (3-3; 2B, 2R, 3RBI, SB) and Claudio Valencia (3-3; 2 2B, 2 RBI, R) notched 3-hit games. While they didn't provide all of the Braves offense, they seemed to be the spark in the first three innings of scoring. Tom Scalisi (4IP; 1R, 0ER, 4H, 3H) got his second career start and did not disappoint. Scalisi inproved to 2-0 on the season to tie the team leaders in wins. |

The Braves seemed to have spent all their offense in the first game at they struggled out of the gate going hitless through the first 3 innings. An untimely error allowed 2 runs to score but the Braves were still playing from behind. It wasn't until the 6th where three straight hits by the top of the lineup set the table for Connor Marr and Jon Argetsinger to knock in the go ahead runs and seal victory for the Braves. |

The Braves set the tone for the game early scoring 5 off of Sean Hannon in the first inning. They never let us scoring 13 through 5 innings. Tom Scalisi got the win pitching 3 innings giving up 4 hits and striking out 4. Manny Powers came out on top of the list of Braves with big hits. He was 1-1 with a triple, 2 walks and 3 runs scored. |

In game 2, the Braves and Giants battled back and forth in a game that saw almost as many hits as there were errors. Chris Delouchrey pitched his first game of the year for the Braves and threw a complete game giving up 5 hits and striking out 11. The Braves tallied 8 hits off Giant starter Mark Infurna who also went the distance (7IP, 8H, 4R, 1ER, 4K, 0BB) but the Braves would capitalized on the Giants 5 errors and score the go ahead and subsequent winning run in the top of the 7th after a Andrew DiNisco (1-3) single. The Giants would not go down quietly in the bottom half of the 7th, as they got a Brendan Magaery PH walk w/ 2 outs and a single from Chris smith, who leads the league in hits and runs scored before Bryan Maynard would fly out to deep left field to end the threat and secure the split for the Braves.

The NS Giants took game one of two against the Braves at Fraser Saturday afternoon 7-1.
The Giants got a strong showing out of their center fielder, Brian Maynard (4-4 3B 2R 2RBI 2SB). Mark Blake (1-1) got his first career start in a Giant uniform and limited the Braves to just 3 hits and 1 run through 5 strong innings en route to his first win of the year. Ben Kendrew also seeing his first action of the year pitched 2 scoreless innings for the Hold.

The Braves came out swinging, putting up 4 runs on 4 hits in the top of the 1st, and added a 5th run in the 3rd, before the Gator bats woke up, plating 3 in the 4th to make it a ball game. The Braves responded with three runs of their own to stretch their lead back to 5 entering the Gators final at bats. Scotty Michaud led off with a single to right, advancing to 2nd on an error and the comeback was on. Eight batters later the Gators walked off victorious. |

In Aaron Jamal's first start of his CABL career, he carved up the Cubs batters at a tune of 1 hit and 3 walks over 5 innings. Unlike the Braves of 2016, the bats came alive early an often as every starter reached base and none recorded a strike out. The leader of the offense was Dan Cottrell who recorded 3 hits in hit first 3 CABL at-bats on the way to a 3-4 day with a double and 3 RBIs |
