Robillard allows just 1 hit as Mets score early and often. Sox show grit on the field and give Mets their last 2 beers in the parking lot after Mets crushed all of theirs. All was overshadowed by the loss of Officer Ronald Tarentino Jr., just a few miles from the field. Men like him enable all of us to have the opportunity to play baseball with our buddies on a Sunday morning.

The story in Game 2 was more solid pitching from the Mets. Cadoret dominated with 10 strike outs in 5 innings of shutout ball. The Mets broke open a 2-0 game late throwing up crooked numbers of 3 in the 6th and 7th innings.

After the Cardinals jumped to a quick 1-0 lead in the top of the first on a walk and SB by Pete Anderson, a single by John Beloff, and an RBI single by Scott Johnson, Graham Gaudette took over the game. Graham threw no hit ball over the next 4 innings to get the win. And Graham continue to rake at the plate pacing the 14 hit attack with 2 hits. Exy, Veith, and McGinnis also chipped in 2 hits a piece.
