It was a windy morning in Cambridge, as the Spinners squeaked out a tight win vs a young O's squad. Spinners hopped on top early with a 2-0 lead. in the 3rd Kocher ran into some trouble, as fielding miscues led to the O's plating 3. Spinners would score 2 more in the 5th and take a 2 run lead.

Things got interesting in the 6th when Kocher left the game, the Orioles were able to load the bases with 0 outs, only down by a run. Enter the veteran Blomerth. With ice water in his veins, he was able to get 3 ground ball outs, 2 made by newly resigned Mike Navarro. The top 7th was hairy as well, when the Orioles again had runners in scoring position but a close play at the plate and the tough pitching of Blomerth were able to stop them in their tracks.
