Will Lopez earned his first MABL win, throwing 4 innings and allowing 2 runs. Joan Cordero earned the save, pitching the final two innings including working out of a bases-loaded jam in the 7th to close it out.

Nick Radcliffe socked a 2-run HR to pace the Red Sox attack.

Jordan Krall vaulted the A's to victory with a 2 out single in the bottom of the 12th to drive in the winning run.

The game was completed at a quick pace, taking only 2.5 hours to complete. Brett O'Keefe threw 8 innings for the A's, striking out 9 in the process. Lenane led off the 9th with a double off the wall. Hat was it for O'Keefe, and he was replaced by Huber. Bill Ferdinand drove him in with a single, to make it 1-0.

The A's were down to their last out, but Buddha and Tessari both got singles, and Buddha scored on an infield hit by Mahoney. 1-1 after 9.

No action again until the 12th. Muollo led off with a single, was sacrificed to 2nd and moved to 3rd on an infield hit. Then Krall drove him in for the W, right before the Umps were ready to call it a night.

Hats off to Tom Lenane of the Red Sox, who threw 11.2 innings in one of the season's best pitching performances.

Brett Nowlin throws his 2nd complete game of the season and Gib's rbi single to right to score Paul Branche proves to be the difference helping Giants rally late to stun the Sox 6-3. Rookie Jon Savas continues to rake going 2-2 with 2 rbi's. Chard and Protentis had multiple hits for the Sox.

A's TOP SOX IN 8 INNINGS

The A's bested the Red Sox 3-2 in 8 innings. Kurtz went all 8, giving up just two runs on 5 hits while striking out 5. Asdornvuttikrai and Lamourex each had 3 hits, leading the A's offense.

The A's scored the first run of the game. Lamoureux led off with a bunt single and later scored on a Mahoney fielder's choice.

The Sox grabbed 2 in their half of the 2nd, with Sturtevant roping a 2-RBI single to put the Sox up 2-1.

The next inning the A's tied the score. Donaruma led off with a single, which was his 300th hit in the MABL,* and advanced to 3rd. McIntyre drove him in with a fielder's choice.

The game stayed tied through regulation. In the first extra frame, Asdornvuttikrai led off with a walk, stole 2nd, and got to 3rd on a McIntyre single. Lamoureux drove him in to put the A's up for good. Kurtz shut the door with a 1-2-3 bottom of the 8th.


*Donaruma is the 4th MABLer to reach 300.

A's TOP SOX

The A's beat the Red Sox 9 to 4 at Nipper Field.

Kyle Breidenstine picked up the win with four strong innings, giving up only one unearned run and four hits. Brett O'Keefe notched his second save of the year, tossing the final 2.2 innings while striking out 6 batters.

The A's offense broke through in the 3rd, posting 7 runs and batting around. Highlights included a Barton single and an Asdornkvuttikrai RBI single.

Barton and Asdornvuttikrai each finished with two hits on the evening. McIntyre finished with 2 RBI on the night. And Tessari and Vadala each went 1-for-1 with an RBI.

The Sox will look to bounce back against the Orioles on Sunday, while the A's take on the Spinners on Sunday.

Thanks to the strong pitching of Marty Clarke and timely hitting, the Spinners shutout the Red Sox 3-0. Clarke went five innings, giving up five hits, while striking out seven. Dan Blomerth and Luc Kocher finished the job on the mound.

Eight Spinners had hits, with Ryan Gaffney, Mark Killoren and Mike Tufo driving in runs.

Adam Nazarro threw a complete game for the Red Sox, while Thomas Lenane had two hits.

Giants ride another stellar pitching performance by Tom Plumitallo to solid 8-1 win over Red Sox Monday nite. Plumitallo throws CGW (5 H, ER, 4 Ks, BB, HBP) scattering four strikeouts. Giants held a 2-0 lead in the 3rd before Brett Samboy's 3 run HR to right in the 3rd, that proved to be plenty of support for Plumitallo. Rookie Jon Savas (3-3, 2b) and Ant Montone also had multiple hits for the Giants in the win.

Husher had two of the Sox 5 hits and Andrew Ferrazzani had an RBI single in the 7th to break the shutout.
