Dodgers 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 1 7 3

Tom Plumitallo throw a CG gem (ER, 0 BB, 6 Ks) giving up one run and striking out 6 as 18+ Giants pick up first win of the year. The win also marks the first for the new franchise, which formed over the offseason from the old Grays.

Giants jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the 1st when Samboy scored on an infield error. The Dodgers threatened to score in the 2nd & 5th, but stranded runners at second and third in both innings. The Giants tacked on some insurance runs in the 6th, using good base running and taking advantage of more Dodgers miscues to plate 2 runs. Those runs would prove to be important as the Dodgers rallied with 2 outs in the 7th to plate a run on a Trevor Barsamian RBI single, but would come up short. Mike Cole pitched well for the Dodgers, giving up 1 run on 5 hits over 4 innings. Matt Ferro (2-4) and Jared Walsh (3-3) had multiple hits for the Giants in the win.

Best of luck to the Dodgers and all team
