The Cambridge Cantabs beat the North Andover Thunder on Tuesday 10-3 at Twi Field (Danvers) in seven innings. Elliot Shea racked up three RBIs on three hits for Cambridge. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings. Joe Perna and Jamie Aldoupolis chipped in with 2 hits apiece. On the mound, Rob Rosenbaum picked up the win for the 'Tabs, allowing two earned runs, six hits and four walks while striking out five in a complete game effort. For the Thunder, Scott Dunlap had 2 hits and Paul Laurin pitched well over the first 4 innings. With this game marking the end of the season series with the Thunder, a tip of the Cantab tri-pointed cap to those guys for always playing with integrity and class.

On a scorching day in Arlington, the Cantabs got an excellent all-around effort from each member of the squad to propel the team to a 7-1 win over the North Andover Thunder at Spy Pond. The effort included 14 hits, which included a 4-hit day from Davin Wilfrid. On the mound, Matt Englander went the distance in picking up the win and proved that managers, like senior citizens, "although slow and dangerous behind the wheel, can still serve a purpose." Well, sometimes anyway. The Thunder and Cantabs will lock horns once more in 2015 at a date and time to be determined.

The Cambridge Cantabs and North Andover Thunder both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Cantabs that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 7-3 win at BB&N. Jason LaPointe racked up two RBIs on two hits for Cantabs. He singled in the third and fifth innings. On the mound, the Thunder managed just 1 hit off of Joe Perna in the final 4 innings. Perna, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his four innings of work to pick up the save. Matt Coyne recorded his first win of the season for the Cantabs. He allowed three runs over five innings. Coyne struck out seven, walked one and gave up 10 hits. The Thunder pulled to within 1 run in the 5th following an RBI groundout for Ziegler and a run-scoring double for Samaras. But the 'Tabs responded in the bottom half of the inning with 2 runs on RBI singles by LaPointe and Griglun. The Cantabs are off for the weekend of May 9-10.
