The Reds weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Padres, and the Reds lost 4-3 to the Padres after falling behind by four runs in the fourth inning.

The Reds scored on an RBI single by Wahl in the fifth inning and an RBI double by West and an RBI single by Jason Baldeck in the sixth inning. Unfortunately, the Reds weren't able to take the lead back.

Alex Dejesus reached base two times. He singled in the second inning.

Julio Gonzalez picked up the win for the Padres. Gonzalez pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs, nine hits and one walk while striking out four.

The lead stayed with the Padres after the first, when they scored one run on an RBI single by Hamlet Tejada.

The Padres added two more runs in the top of the fourth. Smearlyn Acevedo kicked things off with a single, scoring Dejesus. That was followed up by Gonzalez's single, bringing home Acevedo.

Backed by 16 hits, the Spinners beat the Brockton Reds 7-3. All ten players in the Cambridge lineup had at least one hit, with Mark Killoren leading the way with three hits. Bob Maccioli and Dan Caceres each had two hits and Caceres drove in two runs.

Luc Kocher pitched six innings, giving up three runs on seven hits, while striking out five. Marty Clarke came on in relief to retire the side in the seventh.

The Spinners jumped out to a 3-0 lead before the Reds came back with two of their own and tied the game in the third inning. Cambridge answered back with two runs in the fourth and two more in the seventh.

Spinners came out of the gates fast tonight. Valdiviezo started the night singling and later scoring on a pass ball. With 2 outs and 2 men on in the 1st, a Maccioli special (single) would keep the early rally going, scoring a run. Next up, Killoren, who would double to center field, scoring 2 more.

Dan Blum(garner), with the sniffles, took the hill for Cambridge. He would keep the Reds bats quiet for 4 innings until surrendering the only run of the game on a Smithers sac fly.

In the bottom half, the Spinners loaded the bases scoring 2 more on a Canning FC and Salvia single.

The remainder of the game would belong to The Twin Towers, Kocher/Clark, who closed the door for Blum. Helping him to his 6th win of the season.

For the Reds, J.Perkins had a multi hit game.

Grays take advantage of Reds miscues throughout the night winning the rubber match of the series, with 10-4 win Wednesday nite in Lynn. Brett Samboy picks up his 1st career MABL win in a CG, giving up only 1 ER and striking out 6. Ryan Eckenrode (2-3, 2 R, 3 RBI) had a two run single late pushing the end out of reach.

Perkins and Wahl had mutiple hits for the Reds. Musco threw well in a CG effort striking out 4.

Mike Cole allowed just one run over seven innings, giving the Dodgers their seventh straight complete game from starting pitchers.

Jeff Hall, Ivan Torres and Ryan Howland drove in the Dodgers' three runs on the day, as they swept the double-header and picked up their third win of the weekend.

Jeff Hall went the distance for the Dodgers in Game 1 of Sunday's double-header, picking up his fourth victory of the season. Drew Cumming had three hits in the leadoff spot, and all Dodgers in the starting lineup had at least one hit. The Dodgers plated double-digit runs for the first time of the season.

The Padres beat the Reds 12-3 Wednesday behind both the bat and the arm of Julio Gonzalez.

Gonzalez had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the first and fifth innings.

Gonzalez pitched very well for the Padres. The Reds managed just two hits off of the the Padres' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out six during his six innings of work.

The game was never in doubt after the first, as the Padres scored two runs on a two-run double by Reyes.

The Padres continued to add runs until the end of the game. The Padres scored three runs in the seventh on an RBI double by Yey Frias and a two-run double by Roberto Terrero.

The Padres' Marcos Reyes, Frias, Gonzalez, Matt Simonds and Jayson Gonzalez combined for Ten hits and nine RBIs.

In a boiling hot pot of thick soup in Newton, the Dodgers managed to pick up a win over the Reds. Jeff Hall went the distance, picking up his third win of the season. He fended off a late rally with the tying run at the plate to seal the victory.

Another tight game came down to a 6th inning rally, with the O's putting up 5 runs to overcome a 2-run deficit. As he did in Game 1, Myles Comeau drove in the tying and go-ahead runs with a clutch hit, this time a double.

Rob Nadel picked up a complete game W, scattering 7 hits while striking out 5.

For the game, Andre Souffrant and Evan Derochea chipped in with 2 RBI apiece for the Orioles, while Kevin Lopes added 2RBI for the Reds.

Down 4-3 heading into the bottom of the 6th, the O's bats came alive to plate 4. Myles Comeau had a 2-run single to put the Orioles on top; Evan Derochea and Carlos Solano followed with RBI singles to build the lead.

Leury Peguero (at the plate 2-2, 2R, SAC) came out of the O's bullpen to notch a W following a bizarre sprinkler delay in the top of the 5th.

For the Reds, Jason Baldeck reached base three times, and Jake Perkins had a pair of RBI.

A's WIN TIGHT ONE OVER REDS

The A's Kyle Breidenstine dueled the Reds' Joe Herzog at Fallon Field. Both went the distance, but Breidenstine and the A's emerged victorious.

The A's got both of their runs in the 4th inning. Alan Donaruma led off with a single, and Jay Lamoureux followed with one of his own. Patrick Vetter drove in Donaruma on a groundout, and Brian Colella drove in Lamoureux on a single.

That was all Breidenstine needed. He struck out 7 and allowed just 6 hits. Herzog, for his part, allowed just the 2 runs on 7 hits.

A's OVER REDS.

The A's bats overpowered the Reds on Sunday afternoon at Fallon Field.

Brett O'Keefe took the hill and allowed only 2 hits in the complete game, shutout effort, He moves to 2-1 on the year.

The A's struck for 5 in the 2nd. Patrick Vetter doubled to right center. After a few Reds' miscues, Andrew Billing ripped a 2-RBI single, and Zach Dubin singled in one more.

One inning later, Brian Colella and Will Wilde led off with singles, and returning A's legend Alan Donaruma tripled them home. Donaruma scored one batter later on a Nick Barton double.

Barton, Billig, Vetter, and Donaruma each had multi-hit games for the A's. France-bound first basemen Nick Tapper rode off into the sunset with a 1 for 4 performance. He retires with 6 career steals.
