MABL playoffs start out in a pitchers duel. The Red Sox only getting 4 hits. Broke the tie in the 4th scoring N.Radcliffe on a C. persechini's hit which was just out of reach of Dodgers diving LF. Tom Lenane stole the show with a 9 strikeout NO HIT, PERFECT GAME!!!!!!

A's OVER DODGERS IN PITCHER'S DUEL

The A's Hunter Shea outdueled the Dodgers' Dan Turner in a low-scoring affair. The teams combined for just 6 hits, and only 2 left the infield.

The A's got their 2 runs in the first. Dave Clarke stole second after reaching on a walk. Bo McIntyre grounded to short, but the throw went astray, plating Clarke. Alan Donaruma then hit a sac fly to plate McIntyre.

In the 2nd, Dave Dow hit a home run, but he would be the only Dodger to reach home.

Flash forward to the 7th. Alex Ahmed led off with a bunt single, but Shea picked him off for out 1. Rudy Hersh then singled and stole second. But Shea slammed the door, with a strike out and a fly to right to end the game.

Dan Turner took the tough-luck loss, allowing just 2 infield hits. Shea won the duel, striking out 8 and yielding only 4 hits.

Mike Cole allowed just one run over seven innings, giving the Dodgers their seventh straight complete game from starting pitchers.

Jeff Hall, Ivan Torres and Ryan Howland drove in the Dodgers' three runs on the day, as they swept the double-header and picked up their third win of the weekend.

Jeff Hall went the distance for the Dodgers in Game 1 of Sunday's double-header, picking up his fourth victory of the season. Drew Cumming had three hits in the leadoff spot, and all Dodgers in the starting lineup had at least one hit. The Dodgers plated double-digit runs for the first time of the season.

RHP Dave Roberts led the way for the Dodgers in Middleborough during a Saturday afternoon pitching duel in which he delivered 9 strong innings en route to a complete game 6-2 victory. Three consecutive singles and some aggressive base running by the Dodgers in the top of the 7th knotted the game at two apiece and sent the game into extras. Both offenses went down quietly in the 8th before Rudy Hersh delivered what would prove to be the game winning blast in the top of the 9th -- a bases loaded gap shot double to left center. Hersh himself would also score on an overthrow, sealing the victory. Both Red Sox runs scored on wild pitches with Ferdinand and Bernier touching the plate in the 3rd, including one WP that came on an attempt to steal home. Drew Cumming (3-3, HBP) and Jeff Hall (2-3) also provided fuel to the Dodgers offense while Dave Dow served up several highlight reel defensive plays at the hot corner.

Both the Padres and the Dodgers put runners aboard on Sunday, but it was the Padres that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 3-2 win at Newton - Lincoln.

Victor Ruiz was a workhorse on the bump while bagging the win for the Padres. Victor Ruiz allowed two earned runs, seven hits and no walks while striking out two over seven innings of work.

The top of the first saw the Padres take an early lead, 2-0. A single by Kenny Polanco, scoring Juan Williams and Tejada started the inning off.

The Dodgers got one-run in the second inning and one in the third. In the second, the Dodgers scored on an RBI single by Andrew Cahill, bringing home Dan Turner.

The game was never in doubt after the fifth, as the Padres scored one run on an RBI single by Tejada.

Dave Roberts was the game's losing pitcher. He pitched seven innings, walked five, struck out four, and allowed three runs.

In their second game in a 16-hour span, the Dodgers rode pitching and defense to their third straight win.

Dan Turner pitched all seven innings, allowing just one early run. Alex Ahmed later delivered a clutch two-out RBI to tie the game at 1-1. Then Santi DeOleo drove in the go-ahead run that proved to be the game-winner.

It was a redemption song for Dave Roberts, who took the hill against the Spinners just nine days after that same team roughed him up. It was different this time around, as Roberts pitched a complete-game shutout.

The spinners threw a trio of formidable arms at the Dodgers, but Trevor Barsamian came up with an RBI single down the right-field line in the sixth inning. Alex Ahmed scored from second, and it proved to the game-winning run.

In a boiling hot pot of thick soup in Newton, the Dodgers managed to pick up a win over the Reds. Jeff Hall went the distance, picking up his third win of the season. He fended off a late rally with the tying run at the plate to seal the victory.

Spinners firing on all cylinders against the Dodgers Thursday night scoring 16 runs in 4 innings. On the hill veteran Dan Blomerth (DB1) went 4 innings striking out 4 and allowing only 1 hit. Dan Blum (DB2) came in for relief in the 5th to shut the door and keep the Dodgers scoreless.

Leading the team was rookie sensation Bobby Maccioli who had 3 hits and 4 RBIs. Also with multiple hits/rbis were M.Tufo, De Los Santos, Salvia and Knell.

Spinners improve to 9-2-1 going in to their Sunday morning matchup with defending champs the As.

On a scorching hot Sunday morning, the Dodgers posted a 5-1 division victory against the Lawrence Padres. Jeff Hall and Mike Cole threw a combined two-hitter with Hall picking up the W and Cole coming on to pitch three innings for the save. The Dodgers offense compiled five runs fueled in part by a four-hit, three-run second inning rally.

The Dodgers fought back from an early 3-0 hole to pick up a 5-3 win over the Grays. Jeff Hall picked up his first win of the season, and Dave Roberts tallied his first save. Santi DeOleo went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs, and special credit goes to Alex Ahmed for playing strong defense and going 1-for-4 at the dish after fouling a pitch off his face on the first pitch of the game.

The Dodgers and Orioles met at Lincoln Field for the second time in as many weeks. At the end of the seventh inning, the teams once again found themselves knotted at two runs apiece - the same score that took the squads to extra innings the prior Sunday. On offense, Ivan Torres led the Dodgers with two critical RBIs and by scoring the winning run on a Cahill sacrifice fly in the eighth after reaching base on a lead-off single. Drew Cumming made two game-saving highlight reel catches in right field for the Dodgers. At shortstop for the Orioles, Leo Romero reached base three times in four at bats and displayed some incredible defense of his own.

Chris Ott wins first start and picks up second W of the year. Ryan Gagne sets pace with two hits while Jeff Coveney and Adam Morin knock in 2 runs each.

The Spinners pulled off an extra-inning, come from behind win over the Dodgers. Trailing 2-0 in the sixth, Pat Canning doubled and Ricky Salvia tripled to cut the lead 2-1. Salvia later scored on an Omar Caceres single to tie the game. In the eighth inning, salvia singled and advanced to third on a stolen base and Dodger throwing error. He later scored on a fielder's choice to give the Spinners the lead.

Luc Kocher started for the Spinners, pitching the 1st inning, with Dan Blomerth pitching the next 3, Marty Clarke tossing one and D. Blum pitching the last 3 for the win.

Jeff Hall pitched six solid innings for the Dodgers, while Alex Ahmed and Brandon Linton each scored runs.

Jose Pena got the win in relief over the Dodgers on Friday at South Lawrence East.

Jayson Gonazalez got the walk-off RBI single bringing home Alex Dejesus to help the padres get their second win of the season.

In the top of the first, the Dodgers grabbed the early lead, 3-0. The Dodgers got things going when Alex Ahmed singled. A stolen base then moved Ahmed from first to second. Dave Dow doubled, scoring Ahmed. The Dodgers added more runs when Dow and Barsamian scored on a two-run triple by Rudy Hersh.

The Padres quickly brought home two runs in the first inning and added another one in the sixth.

Luis Valdez continue his hot start with two hits on tonight victory over the Dodgers.

The Dodgers held off a late Grays rally to win 8-5 on Opening Day. Alex Ahmed had himself a day hitting in the leadoff spot, going 3-for-4 with a single, double and home run. Ahmed drove in 6 of the Dodgers' runs and crossed the plate twice himself.
