A five-run explosion in the second inning lifted the Padres to a 6-0 win over the White Sox at Revere - Revere HS on Saturday.

The Padres' Hamlet Tejada kept the White Sox off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the mound. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out six.

The Padres scored in the second on an RBI double by Luis Caro, , and a three-run double by Juan Williams.

Luis Caro had a hot bat for the Padres. Luis Caro went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs.

Jon Shepard couldn't get it done on the hill for the White Sox, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in seven innings, walked none and struck out seven.

The Padres got the win against Grays , securing a 8-3 victory on Wednesday at Charlestown - Ryan.

The Padres pulled out the win thanks to a strong third inning. The Padres scored on an RBI single by Marcos Reyes off D Combs, scoring Alex Dejesus. An RBI single by Reyes scored Dejesus to give the Padres the lead for good.

Luis Caro had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits. He homered in the first inning and doubled in the third and fifth innings.

Hamlet Tejada looked sharp on the bump. Grays managed just one hit off of Tejada, who allowed no earned runs, walked six and struck out seven during his six innings of work.

The Padres went up for good in the third scoring six total runs, which came home on two doubles, a groundout by Tejada, and an RBI single by Yey Frias.

Monday was a great day for Hamlet Tejada, as Tejada threw a shutout to carry the Padres to a 6-0 victory over Cutters

Tejada allowed no runs on four hits while striking out eight and at the plate Tejada went 2-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

The Padres beat Cutters thanks to 16 hits, including four extra base hits.

The Reds weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Padres, and the Reds lost 4-3 to the Padres after falling behind by four runs in the fourth inning.

The Reds scored on an RBI single by Wahl in the fifth inning and an RBI double by West and an RBI single by Jason Baldeck in the sixth inning. Unfortunately, the Reds weren't able to take the lead back.

Alex Dejesus reached base two times. He singled in the second inning.

Julio Gonzalez picked up the win for the Padres. Gonzalez pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs, nine hits and one walk while striking out four.

The lead stayed with the Padres after the first, when they scored one run on an RBI single by Hamlet Tejada.

The Padres added two more runs in the top of the fourth. Smearlyn Acevedo kicked things off with a single, scoring Dejesus. That was followed up by Gonzalez's single, bringing home Acevedo.

A's WALK OFF OVER PADRES

The A's Kyle Breidenstine hit a walk-off single to cap the A's comeback.

The Padres scored 4 runs in the first 2 innings. Caro recorded a 2 RBI single, and Frias hit a 2-RBI double.

The A's scored their first run on a Nick Barton home run. They got 3 more in the 4th to tie the game. Breidenstine, Donaruma, and McIntyre had RBI singles.

The Padres got 3 in the 5th on a Reyes single and a Tejada double.

The A's clawed back in the 6th and 7th. McIntyre, Billig, and Donaruma hit RBI singles to notch the game at 7.

The Padres wasted no time getting their lead back. They scored the go-ahead run on a a Terrero sac fly.

In the bottom of the 8th, the A's Barton led off with a double. He scored when an O'Keefe bunt was thrown out of play. The A's loaded the bases, and Breidenstine laced a single up the middle to plate O'Keefe for the winning run.

Luis Caro hopes every outing could go as well as Friday, as Luis Caro threw a shutout to carry the Padres to a 10-0 victory over Cutters at South Lawrence East.

Luis Caro struck out 13 hitters en route to the the Padres win. The Padres' pitcher tossed seven innings of shutout ball and allowed only four hits.

Ten runs in the opening three innings allowed the Padres to easily put away Cutters. An RBI single by Marcos Reyes, a sacrifice fly by Luis Caro, a walk by Hamlet Tejada, a two-run error, and a steal of home by Juan Williams during the first inning and an error in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Padres.

The Padres got their bats going early, scoring seven runs in the first inning to pull ahead of Cutters.

The Padres built upon their lead with two runs in the third when Steven Pepin started the inning with his first BMBL single, scoring Tejada.

A's TOP PADRES

The Padres took the early lead when Frias scored on a fielder's choice. The A's Warren Asdornvuttikrai notched it up, smacking a triple and scoring on a passed ball.

In the 2nd, the A's loaded the bases on a walk and two well-placed bunts. Tom Vadala singled up the middle to plate two.

The Padres struck back in the 4th. Kenny Polanco led off with a double, and Caro singled him home. Jay Gonzalez walked. Caro scored on a double steal, and Paulino later crossed the dish to make it 4 for the Padres.

The A's tied it up in their half. Krall led off with a double, and eventually came around to score on an Asdornvuttikrai single.

It remained locked at 4 until the bottom of the 7th. Asdornvuttikrai reached first and advanced to 3rd on a couple passed balls. Four batters later, Asdornvuttikrai scampered home on a passed ball.

Brendan Huber picked up the win in relief, pitching 3 shutout innings.

An outstanding effort by Jose Pena lifted the Padres to a 5-0 win over the White Sox on Thursday at Breed Edmunds - Lynn, MA.

Jose Pena got the win for the Padres thanks to 10 strikeouts. The Padres' pitcher gave up just three hits over seven shutout innings.

The Padres never surrendered the lead after the fifth inning, scoring five runs.

The Padres beat the Reds 12-3 Wednesday behind both the bat and the arm of Julio Gonzalez.

The Padres continued to add runs until the end of the game. The Padres scored three runs in the seventh on an RBI double by Yey Frias and a two-run double by Roberto Terrero.

The Padres' Marcos Reyes, Frias, Gonzalez, Matt Simonds and Jayson Gonzalez combined for Ten hits and nine RBIs.

Both the Padres and the Dodgers put runners aboard on Sunday, but it was the Padres that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 3-2 win at Newton - Lincoln.

Victor Ruiz was a workhorse on the bump while bagging the win for the Padres. Victor Ruiz allowed two earned runs, seven hits and no walks while striking out two over seven innings of work.

The top of the first saw the Padres take an early lead, 2-0. A single by Kenny Polanco, scoring Juan Williams and Tejada started the inning off.

The Dodgers got one-run in the second inning and one in the third. In the second, the Dodgers scored on an RBI single by Andrew Cahill, bringing home Dan Turner.

The game was never in doubt after the fifth, as the Padres scored one run on an RBI single by Tejada.

Dave Roberts was the game's losing pitcher. He pitched seven innings, walked five, struck out four, and allowed three runs.

On a scorching hot Sunday morning, the Dodgers posted a 5-1 division victory against the Lawrence Padres. Jeff Hall and Mike Cole threw a combined two-hitter with Hall picking up the W and Cole coming on to pitch three innings for the save. The Dodgers offense compiled five runs fueled in part by a four-hit, three-run second inning rally.

The Orioles pick up the win with another late inning comeback. Michael Bartlett hit the decisive home run and Carlos Osorio records his second straight win with four shutout innings in relief.

For the Padres, Victor Jorge pitched six solid innings with 12 strikeouts and Marcos Reyes had a two run double.

Juan Williams went 2-2, sparking the Padres to a 5-2 victory over Spinners on Saturday at Lawrence High.

Daniel Blomerth couldn't get it done on the rubber for Spinners, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed five runs.

The Padres went up for good in the second, scoring four runs on a two-run double by Alex Dejesus and a two-run single by Jose Paulino.

Two runs in the top of the third helped Spinners close its deficit to 4-2. An error and a groundout by Mike Knell fueled Spinners' comeback. Finally, Victor Ruiz got Omar Caceres to fly out to end the threat.

In a tightly contested game, the A's came back from a 1-0 deficit with 3 runs in the 6th. Jason Kurtz scattered 9 hits over 5+ innings, and Breidenstine closed the door with a 2 inning save.

Both pitchers were on their game early, until the Padres got on the board in the 3rd, when Marcos Reyes drove in Roberto Terrero with an RBI single.

Padres starter Jose Pena was in control through 5. The A's finally got to him in the 6th when Matt Asdornvutikraii drove in his brother, Warren, with an RBI single. The A's then got 2 more on a throwing error.

The Padres would threaten in the bottom of the 6th, when they loaded the bases to close the door on Kurtz. Julio Gonzalez would drive in their 2nd run with an RBI single, but Breidenstine worked out of the inning, and pitched a clean 7th to end the game.

The bats were busy at South Lawrence East on Saturday, and when the dust cleared the Padres had a 16-8 win over the Orioles.

The biggest inning for the Padres was the second, scoring nine runs on an RBI single by Roberto Terrero, a two-run single by Marcos Reyes, an RBI single by Kenny Polanco, a two-run single by Luis Valdez, an RBI single by Yey Frias, an RBI single by Terrero, and an error.

Frias hit a two-run home run in bottom of the fouth inning and racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Padres.

Kenny Polanco had a great day at the plate going 4-for-4 and Luiz Valdez had another big day with 3 hits and 5 RBIs

The Padres easily handled the Orioles pitching as six hitters combined for 15 hits, 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored.

Carlos Osorio recorded the win for the Padres. He allowed four runs over five innings. Osorio struck out four, walked one and gave up six hits.

Leury Pequero took the loss for the Orioles.

The Spinners made it back-to-back wins with a 3-1 victory over the Lawrence Padres. Down 1-0 in the fifth, Pat Canning singled and scored on a Mike Mori sacrifice fly. In the seventh, Armando de los Santos and Mark Killoren walked and later scored on a two-out double by Mike Tufo.

Dan Blum pitched a complete game, giving up one run on five hits while striking out six.

Jose Pena pitched six innings for the Padres, giving up one unearned run on three hits while striking out 12.

Jose Paulino singled in the first inning and later scored on a Luis Valdez single.

Jose Pena got the win in relief over the Dodgers on Friday at South Lawrence East.

Jayson Gonazalez got the walk-off RBI single bringing home Alex Dejesus to help the padres get their second win of the season.

In the top of the first, the Dodgers grabbed the early lead, 3-0. The Dodgers got things going when Alex Ahmed singled. A stolen base then moved Ahmed from first to second. Dave Dow doubled, scoring Ahmed. The Dodgers added more runs when Dow and Barsamian scored on a two-run triple by Rudy Hersh.

The Padres quickly brought home two runs in the first inning and added another one in the sixth.

Luis Valdez continue his hot start with two hits on tonight victory over the Dodgers.

An outstanding effort by Victor George lifted the Padres to a 4-3 win in 13 innings over the White Sox on Saturday at South Lawrence East.

Victor George worked out of nine tricky spots for the Padres. He pitched 7 2/3 innings and allowed no earned runs on two hits. Victor George faced his toughest moment in the eleventh inning.

The Padres jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. A single by Polanco, scoring Jose Paulino started the inning off.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the thirteenth, with seven lead changes.

Kenny Polanco came big in the thirteenth inning with the walk-off RBI single off John Heim, bringing home Marcos Reyes.

Julio Gonzalez got the win in relief for the Padres.

Janousek started for the white sox, 7 IP, 2 runs allowed struck out 4. Heim took the loss working 5 2/3 innings, walked one, 4 K's, and allowed one run.

Tom Plumitallo throws CG 3 hitter helping to lead the Grays to a 2-0 win over the Padres, and their third straight Opening Day victory. Rookie Bret Samboy delivered a 2 run single in the 3rd to give Plumitallo all the run support he would need. Tom scattered the 3 hits and had 8 Ks. Osorio pitched well for the Padres, also going the distance giving up 2 run and striking out 4.

Grays and Padres will meet for Game 2 next Saturday afternoon in Lawrence.
