Clutch hitting in top of the seventh for Whitman was one of the keys to victory tonight. With one out Chris Adams laced a single to right. Lapaglia reaches first on an error. Trevor Packard reaches first on a fielders choice and Adams goes to 3b.John Caliri drives in Adams with a single to left and then Andrew Don hits a gap with a double and drives in Packard and Caliri to take the lead 5-3. The other key was Connor McDonough coming in to close the game with 2k's and a popup. Christian Petta also pitched 5 strong innings while Joe Seiver came in for one but was snake bitten with a couple of fielding errors. 3 in a row for Whitman Nationals. |

Whitman Nationals win second straight with a strong pitching performance by Zack Schindler going the distance striking out 13 Kingston batters and allowing only 1 earned run. Pinch hitter Everett Walsh came up in the bottom of seventh with a clutch basehit to put Jake Bennet in scoring position after his walk. second pinch hitter Andrew Don laced one into right center to score Bennet. Pat Murray at the plate tried to suicide squeeze Walsh in for the win but fouled it off. Second time he got it down and Walsh scored with the winning run. Danny Fratus of Kingston hit a bomb in the 6th, second in as many games with the nationals |
