Terrence Walsh allowed only one hit, a long RBI double by Jesse Valdez, in 3 1/3 and the bullpen tandem of Mike Stefaniak, Mark Stefaniak and Tim Corey held the Padres in check the rest of the way. Andrew Rutkiewicz went the route on the mound for Padres.

A quiet game until the 4th when Cannon bats started to wake up. Singles by Davis and Scanlon start the inning and they are later driven in by Neshe and flannery.

Panozzi's triple drives in Colon in the 5th, and then hits by Neshe, Flannery and Colon again drive in 2 more in the 6th.

Colon caps his night with a bases clearing triple in the 7th for a 3 hit and 4rbi night.

Campion cruises through 6 and Tom Simas closes things up 1-2-3 in the 7th.

Johnny Phelan out, enter Akihiko Nakamura. Nakamura had a career night, reaching base in all four plate appearances (2-4) either by hit or error. Nakamura busted the game open with after an impressive battle to work the count full with two outs in the second inning and a runners on 2nd and 3rd. Nakamura took a fastball from the Padres pitcher and laced a single to left field scoring both runners. Nakamura, who hails from Adachi-ku, Tokyo, Japan, received the first game ball ever given to a player in the history of Palmer Club baseball.
Palmer received outstanding pitching from both Eric Williams and Brendan Telfair. Willaims went 5 innings, allowing no runs and striking out 9. Brendan Telfair (Roger Williams University) came in the shut the door in the last two innings, striking out 3 of 6 batters faced. The two flamethrowers scattered 5 hits throughout the game as they kept Padres' batters off balance all night.

The young Padres learning to overcome adversity. The Padres were led by Marcos Reyes(2-4, 3runs)and Joe Commesso(1-3,sac fly) with 5 rbi's combined and Greg Hemmer chipped in 2 hits. Some solid defense by SS Frankley Gonzalez and 2B Brandon Linton making key plays all game. As well as Gonzalez with a safety squeeze to knock in the winning run. And Rafael Figueroa with 3 stellar innings out of the bullpen for win.

After the first where the Padres load the bases but can't score, Hueston settles into form and K's 9 through 6 innings of work.

Cannon bats provided more than enough offense pounding out 16 hits. Flannery (3 runs scored) and Mccue have 3 hits apiece and Neshe and Newton each have 2. Newton has a solo shot in the second and a double in the 4th and drives in 4 on the night.

The 4th saw 6 consecutive hits by Cannon and 8 in the inning capped off by Mccue's second rbi in the game.

Padres finally finish. Behind the outstanding pitching performance of the Old Man(Chino Roman),who only allowed 1 hit with 9 K's.and the clutch hitting of Greg Hemmer with a double to right-center to clear the bases, followed by Cesar Figuereo with a double to left-center to knock in Hemmer. All after 2 outs in the 6th. Outstanding pitching by hard-luck loser Jared Blandino, who had a no-hitter going till the bottom of the 6th.

Grossman jumps out to an early lead in the first with RBI singles by Findley, Andruskevich and Strassmann. Sam Canales (Bowdoin) adds three hits and two runs and Nick Crivello (Curry) is on base four times with two hits, an RBI and two runs scored.

Greg Hemmer has two hits for the Padres.

It was friends and family night for the Padres Club at Cleveland Circle as fans packed the backstop to support their squad for a game that turned out to be a borderline ESPN Insta-classic. With the umpires having a zone similar to wackamole, both offenses were stymied for much of the game. Palmer Club finally broke out late in the game after getting all riled up by an absolute bomb which turned into a two-run triple by Jim Pierce to where the beer-league softball pitchers toe the rubber. Brendan Telfer (Roger Williams University) came in to shut the door in the 7th as Eric Williams earns the win in a stellar night keeping the Padres off balance all night.

In a game that began on June 16th and ended tonight, Grossman Marketing stages an epic comeback scoring 12 runs in the bottom of the 7th to tie the game when the lights go off. The game is resumed tonight tied at 18, two outs, bases loaded, the winning run at third. Tim Reinhardt is at the plate for Grossman; Greg Hemmer is on the hill for the Padres.

Reinhardt works the count to 3 and 2 and launches a deep drive to left field. Zack Barrett races back and to his left and dives and comes up with an outstanding catch ending the game in a tie.

Tom Wells gets the ultimate vulture win.

Cannon takes advantage of walks and HBP's in the 2nd and 3rd to secure the win for Volante. Multi hit games for Newton (single, double triple, 2 runs, rbi) and Colon (single, double, 2 runs, 2 rbi) pace the offense.

Padres chip away in the 5th with triples by Figeroa and Reyes (second of the game) but fall short. Nardone, Fortunia, Hemmer also had multi hit games for the Padres.

Josh Desai was dominant from start to finish, striking out 8 out of 9 hitters through the first three innings. The Padres would threaten to score with the bases loaded in the 4th and 5th, but Desai worked through unscathed, keeping the Padres scoreless. Desai finished with 16 Ks and one 1 BB, allowing just three hits to earn the complete game shutout.

ADSL's offense broke through in the 5th inning on four straight hits, capped off by Jack Colton's (2-3, 2-RBI, SB) two-run base hit to extend the lead to 4-0. Brendan Collins had two hits and 2-RBI for ADSL while working hard behind the plate for Desai.

A big night offensively for Towne, jumping out early and adding on whenever the Padres drew close. Alex Venditti (2-run single and 2-run double that almost got out of Kelley) and Grant Bowen (2 singles, home run, 4 rbi) continued their hot hitting; Steven Gilbert and Chris Hoyt had three hits each at the top of the order, and Billy Collins knocked in three runs. Terrence Walsh pitched two perfect innings in relief to pick up the win.

Simas pitched well for Cannon scattering 4 hits over 5 innings and striking out 6.

Fortuna had a big triple and later scored the Padres run on a single by Hemmer.

Already held hitless by Shane DaCruz through three, Towne managed three unearned runs to come back and snatch the victory. Mike Stefaniak recorded his third win, going the distance allowing one earned run and fanning eight. Dana Dresser's sac fly tied the score and Billy Collins walked and stole second in the 7th before riding home on the Padres' fourth error.

PJ Gouthro (4-0) pitched 6 1/3 innings of no-hit baseball before giving up a line drive single to Pat McKenna of the Padres. Gouthro was effectively wild as he walked 4 Padres and striking out 4 in the game before giving way to Chris Anderson (Roger Williams) who earned his first career Park League save.
Palmer was led offensively by the Brockton combo of Shane Stande and Brian Medairos whom both had a pair of RBI's. Stande also showed off a strong arm as he threw out two Padres consecutively at 2B in one inning. Roger Williams University's (via Braintree) Joe Hock had a workman-like night as he reached base twice via HBP and a walk but showed off his versatility flipping across the field to play 3B for the first time in his Park League career. Hock displayed a rocket arm slinging the ball around the diamond effortlessly.

Just one of those nights. Towne totally owned this ballgame. Alex Venditti went 4 for 5 with a grand slam, 4 runs scored and 6 runs batted in; Vinny Monahan 3 for 5 with 2 rbi; Billy Collins 2 for 3, 4 runs scored, 2 walks and 2 rbi; Dillon Dresser didn't yield a hit until the 5th for his first Park League win after a couple of very tough losses dating back to last year. Towne sent 59 men to the plate.

Grant Bowen delivered the game-winning hit for the second straight game - a line drive single over the drawn-in infield to score Alex Venditti, who had tripled on the first pitch to open the bottom of the 7th. The Padres had taken the lead in the 6th on a single by Leigh Zancewicz and Gregory Hemmer's fielder's choice. But Towne came right back in the 6th to tie it up on Steven Gilbert's solid single up the middle. Darwin Mesa for Padres and Mike Stefaniak for Towne (4 hits, 9 Ks) both logged six innings. Tom Ryan came on to end a jam in the top of the 7th, aided by a clutch , heads-up play by catcher Tim Corey to erase a runner at third. Then Ryan ended the seventh with a pick-off at first.

Steve Hueston accounted for 17 of the 21 outs and was strong all game striking out 13 and fielding 4 more. Cannon scored first after Suriel doubled and was brought home on an error. Padres tied it back up on a leadoff triple by Barnett who then scored on an overthrow. In the 6th, Flannery got on with an HBP and stole second, and then was driven home by a big double by Ben Knott for the go ahead run.

Low scoring tight game throughout as both starting pitchers kept hitters off balance. Mendez for the Padres went four innings allowing one run. Josh Desai pitched 5.1 innings for ADSL allowing 1 ER.

Tied into the 6th, Padres broke the tie on a double by Valdez. ADSL would fight back in the bottom half, scoring 3 runs with Joe Presti breaking the 2-2 tie with a 2-out, 2-RBI base hit. Kyle Szatrowski came in relief to record five straight outs and secure his first Park League win.
