Pitching on just 3 days rest, PJ Gouthro laid it all on the line Friday night. Gouthro tossed all 10 innings of an epic Game 7 that ended in a walk-off bases loaded single by Mat Seropian to take home the 'ship for Palmer.

Gouthro was once again brilliant, scattering just 5 hits and allowing no earned runs on the night to secure a perfect 0.00 ERA over 15 innings pitched in the finals.

TJO pitchers Sam Miller & Dan Long, both also pitching on short rest, combined for a gritty performance as well, matching Gouthro inning for inning until Palmer finally broke thru in the 10th.

Those who watched this series were treated to an instant classic, and one that ended in fitting fashion - an extra inning nail biter that went right down to the wire. Hats off to TJO Sports for a great series.

Palmer bats come alive again tonight against the young TJO Sports Club belting 10 hits throughout the game. The game was close as TJO worked out of early jams with good defense but it was not enough to stop the likes of first baseman Joe Hock (2-3, 2B, 1 RBI) and center fielder Chris Curran (2-3, 3 runs, 2 SB). Palmer shortstop, Johnny Phelan, had an adventurous night as he busted open the game in the top of the 5th inning as he blooped a real puss shot down the left field line with 2 outs. Phelan almost opened the flood gates for TJO in the 6th as he didn't know which way was up when he booted a routine double play ball but MOrgan Williams bailed him out by pitching out of the self-inflicted jam. Williams pitched 6 innings with 9 K's, 2 walks, and 2 runs (1 ER). Big Bro Eric Williams pitches for Palmer on Friday, free admission at Cleveland Circle if you show up before 7:45 p.m.

The only thing that seemed be able to get to Palmer starting pitcher Joey Lucier were the snipers in the trees in the bottom of the 4th, which lead to an epic barrel roll. What started as a pitchers duel ended in one of the wildest finishes in a long time. Long for TJO gave up one hit through 6 innings and Tom Simas for Cannon only gave up 4, the last was a single to Pisano that gave TJO the lead.

Bottom 7, Allen leads off with a walk off Mullrey. The next 2 batters strike out. Allen steals second and advances to 3rd on the overthrow. Cacciatore with 2 strikes on him breaks his bat and hops it to the pitcher who throws it away, sending Cacciatore to 2nd.

Flannery then grounds a ball to first and beats it out when Johnson can't seem to pick it out of the dirt and get to the bag.
With runners on the corners, Sabatino (with 2 strikes on him) singles in the tying run. Colon comes up and with 2 strikes, singles to right and Flannery slides in just ahead of the tag for the walk off.
