Franz Strassmann explained that he pitched excellently for 7 shutout innings, and even gave himself the game ball. Mike Milewski, returning from April arm trouble tossed the final 2 scoreless frames, and also blasted a pair of doubles. Chris Tattrie stayed hot, also collecting 2 hits with a double, while Atsalis, White and Ponte also had multi-hit games. For the Cards, Rich Slamin contributed 2 of his team's 5 hits, while Sean Ross went the distance on the bump.
