Backed by a six-run first inning, the Brewers won their season finale over the Padres. Dan Riordan scored three runs, Paul Ardizonni led off the third inning with a home run and Joe Blotner stole home on a double steal in the fourth. Greg Pilitsis went the first 2 and a third, while Chris Dowd pitched four and two-thirds innings in scoreless relief to earn the win.

Jays win their 4th game in a row to end the season. Greg Norton was great on the mound. Norton would not let up a hit till the 4th inning and struck out 15 batters in his second complete game of the season.

The Dodgers and Padres met on a splendid summer evening last Friday.
In a tight game, the Dodgers were able to push four runs across in the fourth inning after a series of odd events and pair of two-out singles.
The Padres weren't able to get much going offensively as only two men reached second base all night.
These teams meet again in a couple of weeks for a Sunday morning double header.

Spinners took on an undermanned Padres team, coming off their 1st win of the season.

Spinners scored 1 run in the first on a Knell (3-3) sac fly. In the second the Spinners would break the game open by putting up 12 more runs. This affair would only last 5 innings after a mercy rule was enforced.

Ciano and Knell, the 2 former Reds, had a big game for the Spinners going 3-3 each. De Los Santos had 3 RBI against his former team.

Spinners take on the Dodgers in Newton tomorrow morning.

The Padres put aside their rough start to take their first win of the season against the Blue Jays today at Jones Field.

The Blue Jays were short handed but were true sportsmen and elected to take the field with 8 rather than forfeiting.

Leigh Zancewicz led the team offensively, hitting.750 with 5 RBIs. Matt O'Laughlin, Josy Tejada and Alex Dejesus also brought in runners.

Defensively the Padres played solid baseball, keeping the Jays to only 5 hits and 4 runs.

The Padres will next see action in Chelsea on July 20th when they face the Spinners.

VETTER, CARDWELL SLUG A's TO VICTORY

Patrick Vetter led the way for the A's, going 3 for 5 with two doubles and a triple. Not to be out done, Tom Cardwell notched three hits of his own, including two screaming triples down the right-field line.

Brent Mylrea was 2 for 4 with an RBI single, while McIntyre, Asdornvuttikrai, and Lamoureux also had multi-hit performances for the A's.

Kyle Breidenstine yielded three runs in the first before returning to his usual, efficient form for the next five innings. He allowed just four hits and struck out 9.

The Padres next play the Blue Jays on Sunday, while the A's take on the Spinners.

Down to their last out three times, O's rally to force extra innings, overcome an 8th-inning deficit, and win in the 9th. Juan Williams (2B), Wilson Delos Santos (2-run HR) and Dan Cooney (based-loaded BB) each came up huge in the clutch.

Jose De Los Santos earned the W, throwing a complete game.

White Sox win this installment of the 95 degree swampy sweat-fest series, 5-2. Jones Field's lack of general lawn mowing and both teams' lack of equipment, score books and general spirit couldn't stop them from battling it out in Acton on a Sunday morning.

Victor Ruiz earned another victory in impressive fashion, pitching 6 innings of one run ball with 7 Ks. Justin Real and Mike Lembo led the offense for the Sox, each having multi-hit games.

Nick Mcaloon pitched well for the Padres and Brandon Linton and Andrew Cahill each had two hits in defeat.

Spinners win their 2nd of 3 in division games against the Padre's behind 18k's by the Spinner's pitching staff. Starter Dan Wilson (5ip) recorded 14 of those strike outs in 15 outs.

Cambridge scored 5 of their 6 runs in the 1st 2 innings of the game. Omar Caceres and Greg Megerdichian led the team with 2 rbi's, Petitt had 1. De Los Santos and M.Tufo had 2 hits a piece. De Los Santos' triple in the 6th led to the Spinners 6th run on a Canning single.

Padres would plate 2 runs in the 6th on a lead off walks and a timely single.

Overall, pretty slow paced game, Spinners fielding didn't record an out till the 4th.

The Grays bats awoke in East Boston tonight! They would score 16 runs in a 5-inning mercy rule/shortened game. The Grays jumped on top early in the top of the 1st inning scoring three quick runs. They would add eight more runs in the 3rd, four additional runs in the 4th and one more in the top of the 5th.

Tim Zubak (1-2, HR, 4RBI, 2R, 2 HBP) led the charge for the Grays offense in this one. Zubak mashed a monster, rocket moonshot, line-drive power Grand Slam to straight away CF in the 3rd inning.

Tom Plumitallo pitched superb ball for the Grays picking up 7K's in only 5 innings and notching his first victory of the 2013 MABL campaign.

All in all this was another great team win for the Grays who are making playing as a team a habit as of late. Grays win by a final of 16-2.

The Brewers won their first game of the season Sunday in Roslindale. Robby Vasquez went five innings, giving up one earned run while striking out eight. BJ Neil drove in two runs in the sixth to help spearhead a four-run inning for the Brewers to break a 4-4 tie. The Brewers are back in action Friday night in Chelsea against the Cutters.

Spinners get the opening day win behind a solid 1 hit outing by rookie Reid Henkel.

Henkel cruised through the first 4.1 innings not allowing a single base runner till the 5th inning when Frias got the lone hit for the padres. The Spinners scored first on a balk and a bases loaded walk. The Spinners would score 1 more in the 5th on a Ciano walk (2 RBI)...Then in the 6th behind a Knell triple and De Los Santos double they would plate 6 more runs.

1st round draft pick of the Spinners, Steve Mattina, closed the door in the 7th with a 1,2,3 inning. Megerdichian was 2-4 with a triple.

Spinners will take on the Dodgers in their home opener on Sat. at St. Peter's.
