N. Andover Thunder 3, Brockton A's 2

 Summary | Box Score
Final 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 R H E
Brockton A's 0 1 0 0 0 0 1 2 9 1
N. Andover Thunder 0 1 0 0 0 0 2 3 7 3

A very close, very well played game on both sides. Brockton went up 1-0 in the 2nd on hits by Dolan, Palmatier and Scafidi, the Thunder tied it on a walk to April, single by Laurin and a single by Steve Hattan. Then neck and neck to the 7th inning. Brockton loaded the bases on a single by Palmateiri, Russell was hit by a pitch and Lagerca singled, then Palmatieri scored on Pie's single, but Russell had to hold at 3rd on a strong throw from right field by North Andover's Frank Marr, who nailed Coyle trying to score in the 5th. Jon Story managed to get Cavallo swinging and Ted Mansulla flied to Brian Chen in center, who caught it in the gap on the run, to end the top of the 7th.

The Thunder took it in the bottom of the inning with a single by Paul Laurin, a very clutch triple by Steve Hattan (2 for 3, driving in 2 runs on the day), and then a suicide squeeze by Mike Rose drove in the winning run!

The Cubs got good pitching from Jamie Waters and Robb Roddenberry and some solid defensive play of their own. Overall, considering horrid field conditions, it was a well played game.
