Game Summary:
Karl Alexander spun a neat six-hiiter, striking out seven, to give the Reds a 1-0 lead in the best of three series. The Reds scored three times in the top of the fourth inning erasing a 1-0 Chiefs lead on a Mike Giordano single, two Chiefs errors (one on the back end of a doubleplay ball that was thrown away), a hit batsman, a wild pitch, and a sacrifice fly from Luke Begley. Begley recorded his second RBI in the Reds' sixth when his infield grounder scored Brendan Casey who had singled.
The Chiefs lone run came on a bases loaded walk to Nick Leva in the second inning. Matt Boleski had two of the Chiefs six hits and Steve Busby added a double for the Reds.

In a home game for Watertown at Lexington High School the Reds won 3-0 to stay in the hunt for fifth place.
Brendan Casey had 2 hits a run and an RBI to pace the Reds offense. Steve Tramontozzi and Colby Mattheson each drove in a run. Dan Chaisson and Justin Forman also scored for Watertown.
Mike Antonellis, 1-3, pitched the complete game shutout. He walked five and struck out six while scattering three hits.
Kevin Scanlon, 4-1, gave up eight hits, three runs and struck out five for Lexington. |

Testa Corp. Bombers 7, Watertown Reds 6
The Testa Bombers scored four runs in the final three frames, including two in the seventh, to rally past the Reds, 7-6 at Maplewood Field.
Mark Addesa hit a walkoff single to score Mark O'Flynn, and Willie Allen began the successful seventh inning with a 1-out walk and a stolen base.
Josh Klimkiewicz collected three hits for the Bombers, while the Reds' Sam Sager had two doubles and three RBI.

Steve Busby singled, stole second and scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the first when Sean Callahan knocked him in with a single. Callahan reached again on an error which scored Justin Forman in the 5th for the insurance run. Brian Casey improved to 7-2 scattering 4 hits, 9 K's and 0 walks in a complete game shutout.

Luke Begley reached to lead off the 5th on his second hit of the night with a soft liner over the 3rd baseman. After stealing second, he was sacrificed to 3rd on a deep flyball off the bat of Sam Sager and then scored on a groundout by Sean Callahan. The manufactured run proved to be the winning run. Steven Tramontozzi chippped in with 2 hits and 2 RBI. Steve Busby knocked in the other run on a groundout. Karl Alexander continued to pitch well by giving up 3 runs (1 earned) in 7 strong innings. The win improves his overall record to 3-3.
Carlton Lentini had 3 hits and 2 RBI for the Tanners out of the leadoff spot. |

Conor Mahon got out of a jam in the bottom of the 8th to get the save. Ryan Nicholas added a homerun for the Reds in the bottom of the 2nd. |

Bodnar struck out a season-high 12, including six of the last seven outs. He only allowed three base runners, two hit batters and an error. He retired 14 straight from the second through seventh innings.
Lexington scored six in the first on five hits and two walks. Dan Capra finished off the scoring with a bases-clearing double.
