More impressive than the 18-run assault by the Brewers was that Franz Strassmann who pitched the complete game in Game 1 came back to pitch Game 2 and took a no-hitter into the 6th inning. Kevin Colmey broke up the no-no on a clean single to left. Owen Carlson then entered and forced a double-play to end that threat. The only other Orioles hit was a 7th inning double by Larry Riddley. The Brewers big inning was a 10-run 5th capped by a BJ White 3-run homer and a Jimmy Creedon triple to the outfield bleachers. The Brew Crew improved to 6-1, while the Orioles fell to 1-5.

Franz Strassmann pitched a complete game gem, allowing just 5 scattered hits and 1 run to notch the win. Offensively, the Brewers struck first, leading off the game with a Terry Belli single, followed by a Strassmann single, followed by an RBI by Steve Ponte. The Brewers kept the lead the whole game as they won Game 1 of the double-dip. Strassmann, Ponte, and Joe Creedon all had multi-hit games for the Brewers, while Kevin Flight had multiple hits for the Orioles, as well as pitched the complete game well, but absorbed the loss.

Another huge offensive output by Force brings them to 5-0. Jorge Aquino hit a grand slam in the 3rd to jump start the offense and then Ezequiel "Chino" Roman hit one to right to seal the victory. After a rough start, Elvin Bautista settled down and did not give up a hit from the 2nd through the 8th to earn the victory.

It was a hard fought game, back and fourth through 7 innings. The braves broke the game open in the 8th with some timely hitting and a little good fortune and came away with the win. Angelo Amico powered through 8 solid innings on the bump, and Brian Gaudet shut the door in the 9th with an impressive final frame.
