Matt Richard would buckle down, allowing only 2 hits the remainder of his start, pitching out of several jams until the 6th when Gagne would tie the game on a 2 out double scoring Stewart. Dave Galehouse comes up big in the bottom of the inning roping a double to center to score Scott Ellis to give the Cutters the lead. Heck of a game, heck of a series between A's-Jays. Levensaler vs. Kapuza, scoreless until the Jays get 1 in the top of the 5th after Eddie Pickett singles with 2 outs, stole second and Colin Confoey singled pickett in. Bottom 6th A's have a man on 1st and Aldopoulis hits a double to tie the game. Donaruma then singles with 2 outs to puts A's up 2-1.
Top 7, Pickett and Confoey single and Rob Linn hits them in with a long double. Linn goes to 3rd on a Jay Thomas flyout and Levensaler singles Linn in to go up 4-2.
Kyle Buika comes in to start the 7th and gets the save. Solid D from both teams and Eddie Pickett continues to dominate outfield defense in the MABL, robbing the A's of a run in the 1st. Jays advance and A's were very sharp this series. Hats off to a classy crew. |

Jays finish up the regular season with a solid win over the A's. Steve Shortle was lights out on the hill going the distance while only allowing 6 hits and striking out 5.
The Jays would jump out to an early 2-0 lead in the first with a 2 out 2 RBI single by Keith Karpowich, and would never look back. The offense was lead by Gagne and Confoey(the soon to be daddy) who each had 3 hits.
The Jays had solid defense the whole night which was highlighted by the silky smooth scoops of Ryan Gagne at first base. He saved mutliple throws from getting away.

Spinners 4, Blue Jays 2
Spinners finish their regular season with a win and lock up the 1 seed for the second year in a row. Ben O'Shea took to the mound on his 20th birthday and pitched a terrific game. O'Shea went 5 innings with 9 K's. Gillette and Brennan finished the game off with 2 strike outs a piece.
With 2 outs in the second inning the Spinners would plate 4 runs. The 2 out rally was started by Mike Mori (2-4, 2 rbi), Mike Tufo kept it going scoring 2 runs on a double. In the 3rd the Blue Jays scored 2 of their own on some timely hitting and fielding mishaps by the Spinner defense. Neither team would score another run the rest of the game.
Blue Jays Buika pitched well as usual and Bere had 2 hits on the night. The Spinners O.Caceres also had 2 hits. |

Jays score twice on past balls and that was enough for Kyle Buika.
Buiks battened down the hatches, Hurricane Irene style by living on the edge with 6 walks. But just as Irene passed and Monday was a beautiful day, Buiks had a similar answer. He had 9 K's in a complete game 1 hitter on a Viola single. Key moment; Sox load the bases with 1 out after some ugly Jays D and a walk, but a big full count K followed by a ground out would get the Jays out of it. |

The Jays would throw out the same exact lineup for game 2. Campbell took the hill for another 5 innings of work(threw 12 total for both games) and Jake Stewart would come in for the final two innings and get the save.
Campbell was a stud at the plate going a perfect 2-2 with a BB and RBI. Gagne and Thomas would each get 2 hits.

Jays take game 1 of the double dip behind the arm of Brent "Soup" Campbell and solid play by their 2 outfielders. Campbell would pitch a complete game victory for the Jays who only had 8 guys.
The offense was lead by RED HOT Jays hitter Colin " Doppler" Confoey and Bob Marszalek(who was sporting a sweet mullet). Confoey went 2-3 with 2 3B and 3 runs scored, while Bob was 3-4 with a 2B and two RBI. |

Jay's load the bases but only get 1 in the first and the O's tie it in the bottom half of the frame. Eddie Pickett makes a spectacular jumping, diving catch down the left field line but alas, it was clearly out of play, oh well.
Jays squeak across another. Biggest play of the game; Jays up 2-1 the O's have runners on and a base hit to center but the relay of Confoey to Happas to Linn would cut down the tying run at the dish. From there the Jays opened it up a bit.
Levensaler goes the distance for the win. Pickett scored 3 times and stole 2 bags. Jay Thomas has 3 hits. Confoey continues to stay hot going 2-4 with a run, a steal, a walk, and 4 ribs, a few of which came on his league leading 4th homer. |

For the Jays Shortle was lights out, while Gagne and Confoey both had HR's in the contest. |

Tigers 17, Blue Jays 4
Tiger bats bust out in a big way in a solid win vs. Jays Monday nite. Eric Harvey, making his 1st start of the year, had to shake off some rust as the Jays took an early 3-0 in the first capped with a Jay Thomas RBI double. The Tigers answered with 6 runs in the 2nd to take the lead, and added another 3 runs in the 3rd putting the game out of reach. Mayes, Knell, Stevens, Field, Silk, and Houlding all had multiple hits. Mayes, Murphy, and Stevens also had multiple RBI's for the Tigers in the win. E. Harvey (6 in, 4 ER, 5 K) after struggling early, pitched well in his first outing to pick up the W. Keith Karpowich, Jay Thomas, and Jake Stewart had multiple hits for the Jays. |

Spinners 5, Blue Jays 1
Tonight was a rematch of the 2010 MABL finals. The Jays have been rolling as of late rattling off 7 wins in a row. They jumped out to an early 1 - 0 lead in the 3rd but thats all they would put up as the Spinners pitching and defense was solid all game.
Multiple web gems from the right side of the IF, combined with pitching and aggressive base running was enough to hold back the champs.
Brennan went 5 innings allowing 3 hits, 1 run and 2 walks. O'Shea closed the door in the final 2 innings with 4 SO and no runs. Walsh was 2-3 with an RBI. |

Blue Jays 8, White Sox 1
Due to overwhelming support, Blue Jays summaries have been nominated as "fans choice" in Hardball Magazine. We thank our supporters. Now onto the ballgame.
Jays & White Sox get together at Rogers Park which was immediately requested to be used more due to the tennis court views. Jays start with 8 & although Brent Campbell showed up late, he certainly did show. BC had 2 big hits & played a great 2B. Rob Linn showed as well, he had 2 doubles, a sac fly & 4 ribs. Colin Confoey was on base 3 times.
Pitching wise, the Jays are still waiting for Rob Celata who was suppose to start. Dana Levensaler gets the nod & ended up having a no hitter late into the game until new White Sock Omar Ortiz hit a long double. Levensaler ended throwing a complete game allowing 2 hits, 1 run with 6 K's. |

Blue Jays 8, White Sox 4
A strange combo at Clifford tonight. The pitchers had some nasty stuff but both teams hit some absolute BOMBS.
Dan Zailskas gets his first win in his first start for the Jays and the Z-Man was also on base 3 times. Colin Confoey added 3 hits and Chris Rouches hits a homer.
Rob Celata goes 3 innings for the save and the Jays get the W.
Yet again the Jays will mention that the White Sox have added a BIG stick. |

Nothing nothing game until Colin Confoey hits a homer and the Jays go up 2-0. Jays turn 2 nice double plays early on to help out Kyle Buika. Buiks moves to 3-0 and he moves his consecutive scoreless streak to 18 innings to open the 2011 season. Buiks went the distance. A big 4 run inning would be more than enough and the Jays move to 5-1 on this early part of the season. |

Jays make it 4 straight. Rob Celata goes 3-3 at the dish and also picks up the win throwing 5 innings. Jake Stewart and Ryan Bere each reached base safely 3 times. Bere collected his career 100th MABL hit and promptly paid $4 for the ball.
Deuces were wild for Jay Thomas. JT had 2 doubles, 2 ribs, and 2 runs.
The Z-Man, Dan Zailskas, struck out 5 of the 6 recorded outs in the last two innings. Z now has 10 k's out of 12 recorded outs to start his MABL career. |

Jays, A's on a Friday night at Chelsea. Kyle Buika was extremely sharp striking out 12 in 6 innings as he had command of all his pitches and Rob Linn knew what to call, in what spot as the Jays battery baffled many A's hitters.
Dakota Happas reached base safely 4 times. The Jays recommend their fellow MABL-ers to avoid sliding head first at Chelsea High unless you want your feet to extend up to your shoulder blades and have to go to the chiropractor the next day. |

The Senagers era began with a decisive victory against the defending champs. Matt Coyne pitched 4 shutout innings and Eric Wilkins picked up the 3 inning save.
Offensively, the Senators jumped out early with 6 runs in the 1st on 4 straight hits capped off by a John Maryanski blast to left. Return of the Mack, Pete Grasso had multiple hits including a triple. The infield trio of Laliberte, Plant, and Katz combined for 6 hits and made some fine plays in the field. |
