Spinners 8, Senators 2
Saturdays game would have the look and feel of a 2002 Spinners game with Randy Casey on the hill and Mike Tufo as his battery mate. Nick Bonard would set the tone for this game by reaching base 4 times (3 for 3, 1BB) in the lead off spot. The Spinners would quickly put 3 runs on the board in the 1st on 3 IF errors by the Senators. Spinners would then tack on 6 more runs throughout the game with RBI's by multiple players (1 RBI a piece for Walsh, Mike "DJ Navs", J.Tufo, M.Tufo and 2 for Brennan). This would be plenty of run support for Casey who goes 6 strong striking out 10, allowing 5 hits and 2 ERs. Blomerth would close out the game in the 7th getting 3 quick IF outs. |
