In a classic pitcher's duel on a warm summer evening, Grossman scores an unearned run in the bottom of the 9th for the 1-0 victory. Dan Seip (4 and 0) picks up the win allowing just four hits and 3 walks while striking out 11 in the complete game effort. Tony Trafecanty and Paul Lauderbach are equally effective through nine for Palmer combining for 8 strikeouts while allowing just 2 walks and 7 hits.

Chris Allen picked up his third victory, going 6 1/3 before tiring and walking his first two batters of the night. Mike Stefaniak came on to nail down the win, getting the last two outs, the final one on a nifty play by shortstop Billy Collins on a slow bounder. Collins also had two rbis on a single and bases loaded walk. Chris Kucher had the third rbi for JM Force, and Tim Mitropoulos drew three walks, scoring twice. The lone Palmer run scored on Kyle Cabral's double and Jim Pierce's triple - but Pierce was tagged out overrunning third to end the frame. |

Making an unscheduled, last-minute start in his Park League debut, Chris Allen threw a complete game allowing just three earned runs and allowing no hits from the 2nd through 5th innings, where he retired 11 of 12 and faced the minumum. The big hit of the game for JM Force was Tim Mitropoulos' clutch 2-out, 2-run double to break the game more open in the third. |

Boudrow and Volante battle it out for 6 and leave it to the relief. Guthro pitches great and keeps Cannon from crossing the plate.
The ever changing strike zone made it tough for pitching the top of the ninth where walks and hits broke open the game for Palmer.
Pete Zak had the only Cannon run on a solo homer in the 4th. |
