It was a game of who wanted it least. Pitching on both sides was the story. Horan (8 K's) picks up his first win of the season while Law emphatically closes the door for the 2 inning save. Young (10 K's) goes the distance for the Bluefish picking up the hard luck loss. |

Newton gets the Cannon scoring going in the 3rd with a single and is later doubled home by Kiley.
Sasaki puts the game out of reach in the 6th with a 3 run HR.
Hartery had 3 hits for the fish.
Pre game, in World Cup action, there was an intense game in left field with actual goal nets and fans on the side. The game ended before injury time was complete but I think Venezuela was up 2 nil over Mexico.

Grossman Marketing 2, West Roxbury Bluefish 1
Jim Perry has a strong outing (9 K's, 1 BB) scattering 4 hits in the complete game effort.
West Roxbury makes it interesting in the bottom of the 7th loading the bases with no outs and scoring on a HBP. Perry, however, gets the last three batter's on strikeouts to secure the victory.
Malloy knocks in Tenaglia for the first Grossman run in the 1st and scores the eventual game winner on the game's only miscue--a two out, bases-loaded chopper by Strassmann in the 6th.
Danrenhoffer throws well for WR going the distance allowing one earned run. |

Grossman Marketing 5, West Roxbury Bluefish 4
Grossman wins in dramatic fashion with a walkoff single by Joe McCabe knocking in Ferbert in the 7th. Gardner keeps the Grossman bats quiet through four but RBI's by Strassmann, Radabaugh (2 hits), Findley, Andruskevich and McCabe in the final 3 innings bring Grossman back to .500. Seip throws a complete game to pick up the win.

W.R. threatened to tie the game in the 6th on a two-out single by Mike Diodato, but Paul Cleary threw out the tying run at the plate to secure the lead for ADSL. |
