Saints scratch claw and scrap together on a great effort by Rob "meat" Cahill on 3 days rest and Jon "pick things up and put them down" Tenney on a great relief work. It came down to the bottom of the 10th and the saints needing a W before the lights went out. A walk by Tenney and perfect sac bunt by Ben Mendelson. After being moved over by Pete "mono" McAuliffe and a clutch game winning base hit by O'C. Saints look to stay alive against the black sox Sunday at 1@Ronan. Shout out to Frank for coming.

Jon "Parkway" Merritt battled through 8 innings to record his 5th win, in an incredible Dodger victory. The Minutemen battled the entire way putting up 5 runs on 13 hits, but defense and timely hitting was the key to the Dodger win. Beacon Hill jumped out to an early lead only to be erased by 3 runs in the bottom of the 3rd by some big hits by Brighton. But BH battled back and put up 3 in the top of the 4th. After a run in the 4th and a throwing error to tie up the game in the 7th, all the drama was set up for Matt Grimes. With one out and men on 2nd and 3rd in the 8th, the Minutemen chose to intentionally walk Steve Defusco to load the bases. Grimes proceeded to crush a 2-2 fastball deep into the left-center gap for a triple, scoring all 3 baserunners. After Merritt let up the first 2 hitters on in the bottom of the 8th, a fly ball double play erased any major threat, and the Parkway finished off his job. One down, and 8 to go

Stevie Melo once again left his heart on the mound and got the Astros their first home victory of the season. Melo scattered 7 hits and surrendered 2 earned runs over 7 strong innings. Offensively the Astros took advantage of a few Minuteman errors and got some timely hitting from Sanjurjo (2 RBI), Santos (2 RBI), and Velez (3 RBI).
