The Bulldog offense shows up as they advanced with an 11-8 victory over Revere.
Brad Tardugno led the charge as he went 4-for-4 with a 2 run HR. Elliot Shea added 3 hits while both Tom Englehardt and Anthony Perry chipped in two hits apiece. Brett Remon also contributed with two hits including a solo home run.
Pat Shanahan came in with the bases loaded in the sixth and was able to escape the jam by getting a ground out and a strike out. In the series, Shanahan pitched 5.1 innings striking out 13 batters.
Malden will await either the Brighton Black Sox or McKay Club Beacons in the next round. |

Brown's blast powers Malden to Game Five
Bobby Brown hit a one out offering deep over the right field fence as the Malden Bulldogs force game five with a 3-0 win.
Kenny Luongo pitched well for Malden as he held Revere scoreless over 4.2 innings. He gave way to Patrick Shanahan who struck out 7 batters over the final 2.1.
The decisive Game Five will take place tomorrow night at Maplewood Park. Start time is set for 8pm.

Malden scores 2 unearned runs in the 2nd to take the early lead in Game 3 but the Rockies would answer w 1 in the bottom of the inning to cut the lead in half. All was quiet until the bottom of the 6th when w 1 out, Aj Bucciarelli singled to start the rally, that would end up with Ned Coffee stroking a 2 out Grand Slam into the Jungle Gym in LF to give the Rockies the lead for good.
Adam Del Rio picks up the complete game win for the Rockies.

Revere Rockies 2, Malden Bulldogs 1
Kevin Christina and Joe Millbury locked up for a pitchers duel at The Wood with K.C coming out on top for the Rocks to tie the series. Both pitchers were effective, pitching out of several jams until the 6th when Sean Glavin stepped up and knocked a 2 out double to left center scoring Santosuosso and Iafolla to put the Rockies ahead. In the bottom of the 6th, Salines led off w/ a single and Shea reached based on a throwing error which scored Salines. Malden had the tying run on 3rd w 0 outs. K.C buckled down, retiring Englehardt and B. Tardugno on back to back groundballs to 2b w the IF in and E. Tardugno on a pop up to 2b to preserve the lead. K.C then closed the game out 1, 2, 3 in the 7th to give the Rocks the win.

Stoneham Sabers 8, Revere Rockies 0
Aaron Whittet throws a complete game shutout to blank the Rockies 8-0 to finish the Stoneham season in fashion.
Angelo Colucci led the offense going 3 for 3 with a RBI double, 2 stolen bases and scored 2 runs for Stoneham. Jake Zelnick had a multi hit game, also jacking his first Yawkey League home run, had two RBIS and scored two runs. Robinson continued to crack the ball having himself a multi hit game and a RBI.
Camelio, Whittet, Russo, and Stopford also had a RBI a piece. Ruderman also contributed offensively with a run and a sac bunt.
Aaron Whittet threw 7 scorless innings, letting up 5 hits and striking out 4 Rockie batters. As Joe Russo called his seventh shutout of the season behind the plate.
Defensively Jake Zelnick, Kris Camelio, and Ben Burkholder stayed sharp in the field making great plays. Burkholder's diving catch in right field ended the game. |

Staff start for the Rockies and they were effective allowing only 2 hits striking out 9. Adam Del Rio ends up getting the win, going 2in striking out 2.
Sean Glavin, back from Gamecock Land, leads off the 2nd w a single and Billy "Shuffle Steps" Sinopoli drives him in. In the 3rd, Rockies stroke 4 hits led by Ned Coffee's double that scored 2.

Revere Rockies 7, Stoneham Sabers 5
Merrimac bound Connor Elmore picks up his 1st career YBL win, Bobby Sinopoli gets the save.
Stoneham touched up Elmore for 2 in the 2nd on 2 doubles and a single. Rockies jump ahead in the 5th on a 3r HR to RF off the bat of Gary Moran but the Sabres would claw back and go ahead by 1 after 5.
With 2 outs in the top of the 6th, Kyle Rufo worked a walk and pinch hitter William Sinopoli laces a triple to left center scoring Rufo to tie the game and Gary Moran follows with a double to score Sinopoli.
Nate Laliberte picks up the GWRBI in the 7th scoring Adam Del Rio and Greg Crossman adds an insurance run knocking in Laliberte. |

Revere Rockies 5, AlThomas Athletics 3
Adam Del Rio gets the win, hurling 6in of 4 hit ball while striking out 6. With the A's up 2-1 after the second inning, Deli buckled down and pitched out of several jams in the 3rd and 4th to keep the game close. In the 5th though, Steve Lambert put the A's up by 2 on a solo HR to RF. All was quiet until the top of the 7th. Del Rio led off the inning with a single and moved up to second on a fielders choice but was eventually picked off at 2nd base. With the Rockies down to their last out and down 2, Aj Bucciarelli, Ned Coffee and Chris Santosuosso all single to load the bases. Tony Iafolla works a 1-2 count for a BB scoring Bucciarelli and setting the stage for Sean Glavin, who on a 1-0 pitch, laces a bases clearing double to left center field to put the Rockies up 5-3. Iafolla would come in and retire the top of the A's order 1-2-3 to pick up the save and help clinch a playoff spot for the Rockies.

Malden gets on the board in the 1st on an RBI single by Joe Millbury. Rockies score 3 in the 3rd on 6 walks to go ahead but Malden would eventually tie the game on a 2 out 2 run HR by Bradley Tardugno.
In the bottom of the 6th, Greg Crossman led off with a double and Gary Moran followed with a bunt single. With the top of the order up for the Rockies, Matt Cook was able to retire Aj Bucciarelli and Adam Del Rio, both on fielders choices. With the go ahead run on 3rd and 2 outs, Chris Santosuosso hit a groundball to SS which took a bad bounce to allow him to beat the throw out and Gary Moran scored the winning run.
Tim Vogel picked up the win for the Rockies going 2 1/3 innings. |

The Beacons improved their winning streak to 10 as they shut-out the Revere Rockies on an unbelievable pitching performance by James Dalton. The Ace threw 7 scoreless innings and amassed 15 strikeouts to dominate the game and pick up his 7th win. Bryan Curran went 3-4 with 2 stolen bases and plated the team's 200th run of the season in the third. Drew Tambling had 4 stolen bases and 3 runs scored while Connor Reinfurt picked up 2 more RBI's. Robert Lerro did his job behind the dish filling in for Kyle McKay who had his own pinch-hit double. Magic Number for the top seed is now 2. Next up: Brighton Black Sox tomorrow night at McConnell. |

Kevin Christina picks up the win working 6 efficient innings, allowing 1 hit on an IF single in the 4th.
Rockies put a run on the board in the 2nd on an RBI Double by Will Sinopoli scoring Sean Glavin who led off with a walk. In the 3rd, AJ Bucciarelli singled to lead off the inning which started a string of 6 straight batters reaching base, which ended with Will Sinopoli's RBI single to cap off the 6 run 3rd.
That is all K.C would need as he cruised thru 6 on 68 pitches and allowed only 3 balls to the outfield.

Luke Regan singled in the go ahead runs in the top of the 7th and Mike DeMille picked up a win in his Al Thomas debut.
Rookie Mike McDougall was pressed into starting duties after a 3-inning save on Saturday and responded with 5 innings of 3-hit ball with 1 earned run. DeMille followed with 2 innings, allowing an unearned run to pick up the win.
Revere's Greg Crossman singled in the tying run in the bottom of the 6th after Mike Niland put the A's up by a run in the 4th, driving in Aidan Powers, who had tripled for the second time in two at bats.
Sean Glavin and Bill Donahue each blasted earlier home runs to keep the teams even. Powers and Steve Lambert ripped 3 hits each to pace the Al Thomas Club in the 5-3 win. |
