Lexington advances to finals on Monday night, August 16, against Watertown.
Eric Poling and Tommy Haugh had RBI singles in the seventh and Dan Capra drove in the game winner with a sacrifice fly to give Lexington a 3-2 win and series sweep.
Wakefield scored twice in the bottom of the seventh on sacrifice flies by Lorenzo Papa and John Davison before Matt O'Brien shut the door and save the game for the Blue Sox.
Wakefield's Darren Bisso had a no-hitter through 6.1 before Pete Frates broke it up with a bunt single. The next four batters reached on three singles and an intentional walk. Only Ben Hewett had reached base, getting hit twice, until that point.

Ross Curley had a walk-off two-run single to give Lexington a 2-1 win and a 2-0 lead in the semifinal series.
Dan Capra had a bunt single to start off the seventh for Lexington. Eric Poling bunted and reached safely when his hit got by everyone. Pete Frates moved both runners up with a sacrifice bunt. On the the first pitch he saw Curley hit one that bounced off the third base bag and into left to score Capra and pinch runner Jim Hughes with the game winner.
Matt Russo doubled to drive in John Davison in the second to give Wakefield a 1-0 lead.
Marc Hewett got the win, going the distance. He walked two and struck out four.
Jarrod Marchesi took the loss striking out eight.

Lexington takes a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five semifinals with a 6-1 win over Wakefield.
Eric Poling was 2-for-2 with a two run single in the sixth. He tripled and scored in the third.
Matt Karis pitched a complete game four-hitter. He walked none, struck out nine and gave up an unearned run.
Wakefield starter James Ramsey went 5.2 innings and took the loss. He gave up seven hits, walked four, struck out five and allowed four earned runs.
Pinch runner Dom Sorrentino scored the Merchants lone run on a fielders choice by Mike Sorrentino.

Glen Misho outdueled Darren Bisso as the Bombers won the opening game of the three-game series 1-0 on Sunday afternoon. Misho scattered 8 hits through 7 innings of work fanning 5 Merchants hitters in the complete game effort.

Testa Corp. scored the game's lone run as Chris Smart sprinted home on a passed ball with two outs in the top of the 5th. Smart got the inning started leading off with the first of his two singles on the day.

Bisso was equally as good only allowing 4 hits on the afternoon while striking out a pair, but was the tough luck loser.

David Orlowitz had two singles for Wakefield on the day, who left seven runners on base in the game.

Game two will be Monday night at 8pm at East Boston Stadium.

John Davison and Lorenzo Papa had three hits a piece to pace the Wakefield offense to a 10-7 victory over the Bombers in game two of Thursday's double header.

Wakefield score three times in the third, with Dom Sorrentino picking up the big hit a two-run single and the Merchants tacked on another 4 runs in the fifth as Scott Searles knocked in a pair of runs with a single.

Josh Klimkiewicz finished just a single shy of the cycle for the Bombers.

Brad Hawn hit a walk-off sacrifice fly to give the Bombers a 6-5 win over Wakefield in the first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday evening. The game was the finish to an earlier game that suspended earlier this season due lighting issues at East Boston Stadium.

Wakefield took a 5-4 lead in the top of the sixth after Scott Searles tied the game with a double to right center and Matt Russo followed him up with an RBI single to right.

Testa Corp. would even the game up at five as Derek Strukel drove home a run with a single as the Bombers took advantage of a key infield error.

Josh Klimkiewicz connected on his first home run of the season to lead off the bottom of the third, while David Orlowitz matched him leading off the top of the fourth with a home run.

Klimkiewicz finished the game 3-for-4 with a triple and home run, while Hawn had a pair of RBI. Bobby Giarratani picked up the win going 5 innings on the mound in relief.

Matt Karis improves to 6-0 with a complete game four-hitter. He struck out nine, walked one and retired 11 of the last 12 batters.
Lexington scored twice in the second without the benefit of a hit. Two walks and a hit batter loaded the bases. Eric Poling drove in the first run with a fielders choice and the second run scored on an error. Dan Graham and Nick Martinho had back-to-back doubles in the fifth for the third run.
Wakefield scored when Matt Russo stole home on the back end of a double steal.
Kevin Flight, 1-3, pitched 3.1 hitless innings.

Wakefield capitalized on four 2nd inning Reds errors to score four times. They then went on to score 5 times with 2 outs in the 4th as they pounded out 14 hits and and 11 runs for a total of 41 runs in the last 3 games.

Sam Sager got 2 hits and scored the game's first run on a single by Steve Busby in the bottom of the 1st for Watertown.
