Rockies score 1st on a 2 out double by Chris Santosuosso to score Laliberte. Rockies push 3 more across in the 2nd and 2 more in the 3rd highlighted by a Brian Misci double to left center knocking in 2.

Game called in the top 7th due to several South End ejections, preventing them having enough guys to finish the game.

The Astros once again fell behind to the Knights but with the help of Roger Peguero (3-5, 3 doubles, RBI), Polisopoulos (2-4, 2RBI), and Carl Rodriguez (2-3, RBI), they were able to get their 10th win of the season, doubling their total from 2009.

The story on the mound was the bullpen. Ortiz threw 1.1 innings of shutout ball for the win, and Melo threw 3 scoreless innings for the save.

Steve Lambert threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball to pick up his first win of the season, and had 2 hits, 2 runs and 2 stolen bases to lead the Al Thomas Club past South End 7-3.

Brendan Wheeler had 3 hits, while Katsiroubas, Salvucci, Kostas, McDonough (2 doubles), Monke (2 rbi's) and Powers each chipped in with 2 hits. Ryan Dauley tossed the 7th inning for the A's.

Sanjorjo hit a homerun for the Astros.

After getting behind 4-0 in the 1st inning, the Astros bats came alive and with the help of a few Knights errors were able to bash out 12 hits and 16 runs on their way to their 9th win of the season.

The standouts offensively were Velez (3-4, 1 RBI) and Melo (2-3, 3 RBI). Polisopolus, Malagon(2), and C. Rodriguez also had RBI to help the Astros win this game.

Dan Pill had a perfect game through five innings and a no hitter with two outs in the 7th to blow a no hitter with a hit in the last pitch of the game as a runner from second was thrown out at the plate to end the game. Sam Novicke was 3 for three with a loud triple.

The league has been put on notice...the Astros come to play. South End went to Chelsea and played their hearts out and came out with a 4-3 win over a tough Revere team. Joey "Eyeball" Ortiz was amazing throwing 7 strong innings striking out 10 batters, including the final 3 batters in the 7th inning.

Roger Peguero was 1 for 3 with a sac fly in the 1st inning to start the scoring. Carl Rodriguez drove in a run in the 4th with a single to left and the game winning run on a sac fly to center field in the 6th inning.

After the 1st 5 innings East Boston was beating a dead and burried South End team 5-1. The sleeping giants woke up in the 6th inning with Solis and Malagon driving in runs and another scoring on an error to make it 5-4. In the 7th East Boston plated 2 more runs to make it 7-4 and the Astros job got a lot harder.

With 1 out in the 7th the Astros loaded the bases and set the stage for Angel Alvarado, who lined a triple into the right center field gap scoring all 3 base runners. Next up was red hot Gabriel Solis who lined a ball to left field for the game wiinning walk-off hit. This comeback wouldn't have been possible without great games from Stephen Lewis (1-2, 2 BB, 3 runs scored) and
Paulie P. (2-2, 2 2b, 2 BB).

Strong starting pitching from Chris Foundas and a 1st inning 3-run blast from Dave Scioli set the table for Alibrandis to defeat the Astros 9-3.
Multi hit games and RBI's from Scioli, Marc DesRoches and Tom McDonough provided the offense.

Strong Defense as Somerville turn 3 double plays and tossed 2 out at the plate!

Tomorrow the road show continues at Savin Hill's McConnell Field.

Dan Gaughan tossed a complete game 3-hitter as the A's edged the Astros 2-1. James Katsiroubas singled home Steve Lambert in the 3rd inning with the eventual winning run. Brendan Wheeler and Bill Donahue hit doubles in the 2nd inning to drive in the first Al Thomas run.

Gaughan walked none and struck out 5 in picking up his first win of the season.

Steve Melo pitched very well in defeat and M. Rodriguez had 2 of the 3 hits for South End.

It took the Astros 8 innings to finally break through, but South End went home with a thrilling walk-off victory.

Leo Vilorio was brilliant on the mound throwing 8 innings of 5 hit shutout ball to earn his 3rd win of the season. Defensively Miguel Rodriguez was rock solid at 2nd base with 5 assists. Rodriguez wasn't only a standout in the field but with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 8th he hit the walk-off game winning single. This was a huge division win for the struggling Astros.

The Beacons took an early 1-0 lead behind the solid pitching of Dan Gomez. Dan held on thru 6 solid innings. It looked like the McKay Club had things all settled when they added 2 insurance tallies in the 6th. NO - NO -- it was not OVAH! South End sounded an attack and plated 2 huge runs and had the bases loaded in the 7th. Bryan Curran was called upon to put out the fire on this steamy night in the South End. Beacons win 3-2!

For the second night in a row the Astros go into a hostile environment and get another road win. Pitching and defense was the key once again. Leo Vilorio threw 7 solid innings giving up only one run on a bases loaded walk and his defense behind him was perfect once again. With the Cyclones threatening in the 6th inning, Francis Reyes cut down a runner at the plate with a perfect strike to catcher Carl Rodriguez.

Offensively it was a complete team effort. Vilorio helped his cause with 2 hits and 1 RBI. Stephen Lewis and Max Lopez also chipped in with 2 RBI each. Another good TEAM win!

The Astros flexed their offensive muscles tonight banging out 17 hits and scoring 8 runs on their way to victory. Willie Sanjurjo went 4 for 4 with 3 doubles, Roger Peguero went 3 for 4 with a triple, and Miguel Rodriguez also had 3 hits.

But that wasn't the story of this game. A night after committing 7 errors the Astros played stellar defense which gave their pitcher the confidence to throw to contact, and that's exactly what he did. Hairo Hernandez scattered 3 hits and allowed only one run in his complete game performance.

Malden, MA - Jon Shepard got out of a bases loaded, no body out jam in the sixth as the Malden Bulldogs defeat the South End Astros tonight, 12-7.

This was the second straight game in which Shepard was faced with a bases loaded, no out situation. He preserved the victory for Ken Olisky (4-0) who threw five innings striking out seven and allowing four runs on five hits.
After getting out the jam in the sixth, Shepard struck out the side in the seventh.

Hunter Caron had a big day at the plate. Caron was 1-for-1 with 3 RBIs and three walks. Brian Duplissie knocked in 2 on his 2-for-4 day, including a key two out, two RBI double in the sixth. Jonathan Pollard was 1-for-2 with three walks and Anthony Perry had a solid 3-for-4 night.

The Astros made it 2 wins in a row after this comeback win against a very scrappy Savin Hill team.

On the mound Melo struggled through 3 innings giving up 4 runs. Malagon came in and threw the next 4 innings, giving up no runs and one hit, allowing the Astros to fight their way back in.

At the plate Malagon was also the catalyst getting 2 late inning doubles and driving in the go ahead runs. Melo and Polisopoulos also had 2 hits each. Vilorio, Adames, and Rodriguez all had RBI singles to contribute to the Astros win.

The Astros bounced back from their Wednesday night loss with a good team win over the Cyclones. JJ Adames and Leo Vilorio chipped in with 2 hits each while Stevie Melo and Willie Sanjuro both had 2 RBI each.

On the bump Hairo Hernandez threw the first 3 innings, then Gabriel Solis threw a 1-2-3 4th inning and got the win. Leo Vilorio threw the next 2 innings holding the lead until Alejandro Jerez was able to earn the save. After allowing the tying runs to get on base, Jerez struck out the next 2 batters to end the game!

The Brighton Braves and South End Astros go nine without anyone coming out on top. The Braves trailed 5-1 entering the bottom of the third when Sam Shaughnessy launched a 3-run blast to right to pull within one. Herer's 2nd triple of the night scored 2 in the 5th to take the lead. South End tied it up in 7th when Brighton failed to turn a double play and the ball got by the first basemen. Herer led the Braves offense going 3-4, 2 triples, 2 RBI and BB.

Malagon, Adames, Sanjurjo and Figueroa all had 2 hits each for South End and Melo (3 IP, H, 3 SO) had a great outing in relief to keep the Braves scoreless the final 3 innings.

Roxbury, MA - The Malden Bulldogs continue to win as they topped the South End Astros today, 4-2.

Ken Olisky (2-0) got the victory on the hill as he pitched five innings allowing just one earned run and striking out seven. Patrick Shanahan came on to close the door as he earned his second save.

Anthony Perry went 3-for-4 and knocked in two RBIs to pace the Bulldog offense. Both Mike Terrio and Chris Deane added RBI hits to account for the remainder of the scoring for Malden.

Leo Vilorio pitched 7 strong innings for the win. In the 4th inning with the runner stealing from 1st, JJ Adames, Miguel Rodriguez, and Willlie Sanjuro were able to turn a huge 6-4-3 DP to get out of the inning. Francis Reyes hit a solo homerun over the left field fence in the 3rd inning to provide some offense and Leo Vilorio scored on a ball hit hard back at the pitcher by Carl Rodriguez that he couldn't handle scoring what would prove to be the winning run. The South End Astros get a strong team effort for their first win of the season.

The Saints were able to shake off a considerable amount of rust and pull out a come-from-behind 8-7 win over the pesky South End Astros Tuesday night at Ronan Park. Andrew Larocque launched the first home run of his Yawkey League career, while his brother Paul Larocque laced a two-out single in the top half of the seventh to score the go-ahead runs.
