Brewers win series behind strong bats and the arm of Aram Manoukian. Aram tossed a complete game gem, allowing 5 scattered hits with 1 walk, and no hits after the 3rd inning. Rusty Young had the GWRBI when he doubled home Owen Carlson in the 3rd inning. From there, the remaining Brewer runs were insurance. Rusty was also the defensive star of the game, making several tough plays at the hot corner with grace. Fabian Alicea pitched a gutsy complete game for the Panthers, and Roxbury proved to be tough competitors in the series. The Brewers won the series, 2 games to 0, and now advance to the Semifinals.

Brewers walk off in the bottom of the 9th to take a 1-0 series lead. Josh Weistock and Joe Creedon singled to lead off the inning and Terry Belli hit a blast over the left fielder's head to seal the back-and-forth battle, 7-6. Owen Carlson pitched well into the 7th inning and was relieved by Cary Atsalis who notched the win in relief. Steve Ponte and Josh Weinstock each contributed 3 hits offensively. Pete John had a huge day for Roxbury, scoring half the team's runs and blasting an opposite-field homer over the left field Green Monster at Rice Field. Game 2 of the Best-of-3 Quarterfinals to be played Tuesday.
