Randy Casey and Shane Steffens met today for the 2nd time this season. It was a pitching duel at its finest.

The Spinners started the game off by scoring in the 1st on a sac fly and then again in the 3rd, both off the bat of Omar Caceres. The Rangers would get one run back in the 4th inning on a throwing error to second base and they would tie the game in the 6th on a Bracco double.

The game would stay even with no real threats until the bottom of the 10 inning. With 1 out J.Tufo would walk followed by a single by Scalzo and a Mori walk. With bases loaded, team avg. leader, Bonard would ground to a shallow Katz at 2nd, who makes the play to home.

With 2 outs and the bases loaded rookie Steve Walsh had a battle with Steffans, fighting to a full count. After fouling off a few pitches Walsh would draw the game winning walk.

Both pitchers went all 10 innings. Randy Casey picks up his 5th win in a row.

The Senators get back to .500 behind a complete game 2 hit shutout from Mike Cook. Cook was his usual self allowing 3 hits while striking out 9. The Rangers pitching staff was equally stingy scattering 5 hits over 6.

The deciding run came in the 5th. After three straight walks, Matt Meuse drove in the winning run on a sacrifice fly. Jon Rheault added some insurance with a RBI single in the 6th.

For the Rangers, Andy Katz had 2 of the Rangers' 3 hits.

The Portland Sea Senators knock off the first place Rangers at scenic Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine. Eric Wilkins was locked in all day throwing a complete game while scattering 5 hits and striking out 8.

Offensively, David Earl Timmons, Wilfred Sinopoli, Ski and Lali all had multiple hit games.

For the Rangers, Jeff Rausch had 2 hits, a walk and a 2 stolen bases.

Chad Besegai and Tim Sheflin both had three RBIs and Shane Steffens pitched five shutout innings to lead the Rangers to a 12-1 in the rubber match against the Grays.

The Rangers put up six runs right away after each of the first six batters reached safely. After Nick Infusino was pulled, Alejandro Rodriguez pitched six innings, scattering ten hits to allow three earned runs.

Steffens allowed only two hits over his five innings, and Matt Dumont finished up the last two to complete the game.

Andy Katz and Chris Plant each had two hits, leading the Rangers to their eighth win in nine games. Kevin Delaney pitched four shutout innings and three relievers combined to hold the Spinners to one run.

The scoring didn't come until the third inning when Steve Pinner led off with a single, followed by a single by Jason Skypeck. After Travis Weiner came in to run for Pinner and Jeffrey Rausch was hit by a pitch, Chris Plant hit a sacrifice fly to bring the first run home.

The next inning, Davin Wilfrid singled and scored on a single by Chad Besegai. The Rangers added an insurance run in the sixth when Tim Sheflin singled home Besegai with two outs.

Kevin Brennan went the distance for the Spinners, allowing no walks and only one earned run.

Chris Dowd pitched six strong innings, allowing only two hits and one walk, but the Rangers scored four in the bottom of the seventh to squeak past the Brewers and complete the series sweep.

Former Brewer Kevin Delaney started for the Rangers, allowing two earned runs over five plus innings. Dan Lambrecht pitched the last two to pick up the win.

In the bottom of the seventh, Andy Katz led off with a single. Chris Plant walked, advancing Katz to second. Paul Bracco singled to load the bases. After Chad Besegai popped out, Lambrecht brought home the first run with a sacrifice fly to center. Matt Dumont followed with a single, advancing Bracco to third. Dumont then stole second, and the game ended when pinch-hitter Steve Pinner reached safely on a throwing error allowing Bracco and Dumont to score.

Davin Wilfrid hit a two run triple with two outs in the fifth inning to power the Rangers past the Reds and complete the series sweep. Chris Plant went 2-for-2 and scored three times, and Neil Doherty picked up his second save of the day to close out the game.

For the Reds, Ryan Melia reached base all four times he came to the plate with two hits including a double, two walks and a run scored.

Shane Steffens outdueled Stephen Leahy, allowing only four hits over six innings and striking out three. Leahy went the distance, allowing five hits and striking out eight.

The only run of the game came in on a fielding error when Mike Ciano had trouble picking up one of Paul Bracco's two singles, allowing Jeffrey Rausch to score from third.

In a rain-shortened game, the Rangers held on to a one run lead as a downpour ended the day at Chelsea High.

The Reds struck first with singles from Dan Pope and Steve Altmann. Pope stole second after his hit and advanced to third on Altmann's, who then stole second. The first run came home on a balk by Neil Doherty, and the second on a throwing error on a play at the plate.

The Rangers came back with their runs right away. Chad Besegai led off the inning with a walk and Paul Bracco singled him to second. Steve Pinner reached safely on a sacrifice bunt that Chris Dumas had trouble handling with the infield grass wet from the rain. Then, with one out, Jeff Rausch singled home the first two men and Pinner advanced to second. Chris Dutton then came in to pinch-run for the old guy and scored from second on a ground ball that was booted into shallow right field by second baseman Stephen Leahy to give the Rangers the lead for good

Dan Lambrecht pitched a complete game, striking out nine, and helped his cause with an RBI single in the sixth to lead the Rangers past the Athletics. Matt Dumont added a two run single to cap a four run sixth.

For the Athletics, Nick Tapper hit a two run blast over the netting in right field.

Shane Steffens scattered six hits over five and two-thirds innings to pick up his second win of the season. Dan Lambrecht finished up allowing no hits to earn the save.

Two Rangers scored on a throwing error in the fifth. The only RBI of the game came from a seventh inning single from Chris Plant, who went 3 for 3 for the night.

For the Brewers, Mike Gentile went the distance, allowing only one earned run on five hits while walking none and striking out four.

Kevin Delaney pitched five plus strong innings and Steve Pinner went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs to lead the Rangers past the Brewers in a battle that went into extra innings.

The Rangers struck first when Chris Corde doubled home Chad Besegai in the second. The Brewers came back with six in the top of the third including a two run single from Isaac Valdiviezo.

The Rangers crept back with two in the fourth, and took the lead with four in the fifth capped by a sacrifice fly from Chris Corde to give the Rangers their seventh run of the game.

Delaney continued to shut down his former teammates in relief until the seventh when Zach Dubin led off the inning with a double and scored on a ground ball from Tom Hollyday that Rangers shortstop Jeffrey Rausch couldn't handle.

The Brewers then took the lead in the top of the eighth when Joe Musselman doubled home Valdiviezo, but they couldn't hold on as the Rangers tied the game in the bottom

Dbacks come from behind for the W! Top of the 7th inning down 1 run with runners on 2nd and 3rd Omar Ortiz gets a base hit up the middle to tie the game. Next batter Leigh "scott" Zancewicz hits a sac fly to RF which scored the game winning run.

Valerio was big on the mound pitching 6 innings for the victory in his season debut, Castillo closes the door for the save!

The Senators knocked off their new divisional foes, the Rangers, behind a dominant pitching performance from Mike Cook. Cook carried a no-hitter with 2 outs into the 5th until the always dangerous Chris Plant singled sharply to right. Cook finished the day with the win, 5IP, 10Ks, and 2 hits.

Offensively, the Senators came out with guns blazing scoring 2 in the first on a double by Bill Sinopoli and a single by rookie sensation Steve McKeown. Steve finished the day 3-3 with 2 RBIs and a run scored. Matt Meuse also chipped in with 2 hits, an RBI and a run scored.

Newcomer John McCarthy pitched the final two frames to earn the save.

Tigers had to rally once again to beat the Rangers 3-2 at Fallon on Sunday. Pitching was the story of this one as Eric Harvey and Dan Lambrecht matched up for the second time this year.
The Rangers jumped to a quick 2-0 lead in the 2ed, before the Tigers battled back with runs in the 2ed and 3rd. From there, Harvey (CG, 2 R, 0 BB, 10 K's) and Lambrecht (6 in., 3 R, 4 BB, 6 K's) controled the game.
In the 6th, the Rangers stranded a runner at second, as Harvey struck out 2 of the next 3 hitters. In the bottom half, the Tigers would steal the win, taking advantage of some Ranger miscues, single, Silk sac bunt, and Gib FC to plate Long with the go ahead run. The Rangers would threaten again in the top of the 7th with a 2 out double, but Harvey would completed the 4-hit gem getting Shefflin to fly out to Silk to end the game.

The Tigers move to 5-0 on Opening Day with a 4-1 come from behind win over a talented Rangers squad Sunday afternoon. Eric Harvey was outstanding pitching 6 strong before rookie Jack "JLam" Lamoreaux pitched the 7th earning the save in his first career MABL game.

The Rangers struck first in the 4th capped on an RBI double by Wilfrid. The Tigers tied the game in the bottom half on a bases loaded single from Dan Field (2-3, 2b, RBI). The Tigers took the lead for good in the 5th highlighted with a bases loaded single from rookie Jake Perkins. The lead would be enough for Harvey (6in, ER, 12 K's) who was impressive throughout battling out of jams in each of his last 3 innings. JLam pitched a scoreless 7th to earn the save. Rangers starter Dan Lambrecht pitched well through 4 before giving way to the pen. Chad Besegai had 2 hits for the Rangers. The series resumes next Sunday at Fallon
