Steve Picco's long 2-run double scores the winner from first base, and Mike Stefaniak goes the route to keep Towne alive in the playoff chase. Scott Hampe takes the loss. GM's Tim Reinhart was on base four times (2 hits, 2 walks, 2 SB) and scored the losers lone run.

An eight run fifth paved the way for a Grossman victory. Klocek picks up the win with a complete game effort giving up 5 earned runs.

McCabe and Malloy lead the Grossman offense each going 2 for 3 with Malloy leading the team with 4 RBIs.

The Padres jumped out to an eary 8-1 lead before Grossman battled back with a 7 run 3rd to tie the game. Grossman finally got the lead with a four run 5th inning and held on for the victory. Nat Anglin pitched 4 innings of one run relief for the win (4IP 0ER 1H 5K). Pasciucco made a terrific diving catch in left to start the seventh that helped prevent any chance of a Padres rally.

Eight Grossman hitters had an RBI including two apiece for McCabe, Fischer, Andruskevich, and Fay. Andruskevich (3H) and McCabe both had multi-hit games, and 8 Grossman batters recorded hits. The Grossman rally in the third was sparked when 8 straight batters reached safely, with seven of the eight eventually reaching home.

Lauretto picks up the complete game win for Grossman scattering 5 hits and three walks while striking out 8. McCabe, Pasciucco, Hayes, and Fay all have multi-hit games for Grossman.

Grossman gets off to a fast start in the second when Fay, Strassman, and Lauretto lead off with back to back to back hits and eventually all come around to score. Fay and Reinhardt both hit run scoring doubles in the third to cap off the offense for Grossman.

With their backs to the wall twice, Towne finally scored off Andrew Tenaglia on Billy Maddock's 2-out, 7th inning single; then after Alex Fischer tripled and Bill Andruskevich singled for Grossman to re-take the lead in the 8th, Towne put two on the board via 2 walks, a sac bunt, a sac fly and an error. Pat Connolly picked up his 6th win, going the route.

ADSL managed to rally from 4 runs down in the last of the 7th inning when Jim Pierce drove a deep fly ball to center-field to score Jorge Reyes with the winning run as two were out. The hitting stars in the game were Tamayo Manzanillo who was 4 for 4 for ADSL and Anglin for Grossman who walked twice and hit an opposite field home run to right field.

Down to their final 3 outs the IV rallied to steal one from Grossman. Multi-hit games from Jarrett Kell and Teddy Fleming led the way for the IV while Liendo went the distance for the win. Scott Hampe pitched very well with a CG 11K outing but it wasn't enough.

In a match-up of aces, Pat Connolly (5-1) came out on top over Jim Perry. Connolly fanned 10 in five innings, and Rich Yutkins tacked on three more whiffs over the last two. Luis Rodriguez had two key doubles to spark Towne rallies, and Billy Maddock drove in three runs.

The Carlson Club bats finally showed up tonight! Pedro Vazques sparked the Carlson offense going 3-4 and scoring 4 runs. Marvin Malaret was 2-3 with 4 RBI's and also hit a towering 2 run HR. DelCarmen was 3-3. Zapata pitched very well for Carlson throwing 5 strong innings giving up only 1 run. Ferbert hits a HR for Grossman and Malloy hits a 500ft. bomb that hit a tree and was called a double.

Rentas outduels Perry in a game that featured great pitching and great defense by both teams. The game was tied 2-2 going into the 7th when the red hot Jonny Valles(2-3,2runs) led off the inning with a single. He was sacrificed to 2nd by Edwin Pena. Josue Feliciano then delivered a single to left field to drive in the winning run. Rentas got the win pitching a complete game scattering 6 hits and striking out 11 batters. Perry was dominant on the hill aswell pitching 7 innings, scattering 6 hits and striking out 4. Pedro Vazques also had a good offensive night for Carlson going 2-3,R,3B,SB,RBI.
