stockyard wins a hard fought series 3-2 and move on to face carlsen club. annino improves to 2-0 in the post season. annino scattered 10 hits thru 5 innings and bartlett finished the last 2 innings. stockyard opened up the game with 6 runs in the 6th. glantz and murphy each drove in 2 runs on base hits in the 6th. hansborough had a 2 run triple and continues to play strong defense behind the plate. busby had 2 hits and 4 rbis and boyce also contributed with 2 hits. kenneally made an outstanding defensive play at 2nd and contributed with 2 runs scored and rbi single. lyons scored 3 runs and magrass scored 2 runs. the finals opens up friday at town field. |

Every Towne player hit safely, and the club finally broke through with a big 10th inning keyed by Travis Jonasson's 2-run triple followed by Matt Skinner's double. Alex Torres had a no-hitter for Towne into the 5th, but yielded to Pat Connolly in the 6th, who allowed only two hits the rest of the way and contributed with his glove, as well. stockyard received 5 scoreless innings from brett bartlett keeping them in the game. |
