The Medford Americans came to play the spoiler role at the East Boston Stadium and came away with a 0-0 tie. The "big O" Orazio held the Bombers scoreless keeping them off balance with excellent off speed stuff all night. The Bombers Dan Delia and Mike Hashem also combined for seven scoreless innings. he closest chance for a run came in the sixth when pinch runner Jay Defillippo was gunned down by Medford at the plate. Great effort by the Americans not making anything easy for the second year Bombers. |

Cassell pounded out 19 hits and got six runs in the 1st to never look back. Leading the offensive charge were Matt Rogers (Harvard), Nick Kelley (Endicott), Aaron Santos (Endicott), Josh Mackey (Southern Maine), and Jeff Paquette (Fitchburg State/Toronto Blue Jays). Rogers ended the night with five RBIs, Santos reached base all five times, and Paquette and Mackey both hit home runs.
Veteran righty Mike Parissi (Brandeis), Marty Sheehan (Union), and Kelley combined for the shutout. Parissi got his 5th win of the season.
For Medford Steve Tahmoush and Mike Delponte both reached base twice. |

In a home game for Medford that was played at Lexington, the Blue Sox came away with a 13-4 win.
Dan Graham pace the Sox attack with 2 hits, including his first HR of the season, and 4 RBI. Dan Hughes (run, 2 RBI) and Ross Curley (3 runs) each had 3 hits. Ryan Duff (2 hits, run) and Jeff Nolet (run, 2 RBI) contributed to the offense.
Pat Donovan earned his first win with 3 shutout innings in relief.
Orazio Azzarello singled in 2 runs in the first to give Medford a 3-1 lead. |

Tom Klem (W), Barry Foster, Pat Donovan, and Ethan Burton combined on a 1-hitter as Lexington defeated the Medford Americans 3-2.
The Blue Sox scored their first 2 runs in the bottom of the 2nd on a Jeff Nolet ground out and an Anthony Santos single. Their 3rd run came in the next inning on an infield single by Nolet, his 2nd RBI of the game.
The Americans got their first run on a Mike Burgoyne single to right field. They then managed to load the bases with no outs in the top of the 7th. They scratched out a run on a sacrifice fly, but then Ethan Burton shut the door for his 4th save of the season.
