The dormant Malden bats came alive today on a great day at a beautiful ball field in Milton.
Malden scored 2 runs in the first. Joe Eugenio walked (series 0-1, 6 walks)and was doubled home by a ball off the 395 foot sign in left center by Tom Englehardt. Englehardt scored on a Sac Fly by Adam Del Rio.
Al Thomas scored in the 1st on am RBI single by Muse.
Malden pushed across 2 in the 3rd. The offensive highlight came in the 4th on a 3-run homerun by Lenny Carter over the 405 foot sign in right center.
Evan Tardugno came back today getting the win in 5 innings of work. Mike Steele and Jay Wisner pitched the 6th and 7th respectively.
Malden wins the series 2-0.

Corey Carter stole third and scored on an over throw in the 4th inning. That was the rest of the scoring.
Ryan Stoller pitched great for Al Thomas. He kept Malden hitters off balance all day.
Adam Del Rio was the winning pitcher going 5 innings and striking out 8. Pat Shannahan got the save.
The game ended on line drive double play. Al Thomas had runners on first and second at the time.
Eugneio was on base 3 times with 3 walks, Lenny Carter had a double and a single, and Corey Carter had a single and a key steal to pace Malden's offense.

Dan Gaughan threw 5 innings of 1-hit ball to lead the Al Thomas Club to a playoff berth with a 9-4 win over the McKay Club.
Rookie Steve Lambert went 3-4 with 5 rbi, including his league-leading 7th triple. Ricky Salvucci, Joe Barresi, Bubba Muse and Liam Powers each ripped 2 hits for the offense.
Conor Reinfurt blasted a home run for the McKay Club. |

The A's beat Savin Hill with a balanced attack and solid pitching. John Kostas threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball with 8 k's, while Ryan Stoller tossed 2 perfect frames with 3 whiffs.
Steve Lambert had 3 hits and 3 rbi, while Mike DeBesse and Mark Daly scored 3 runs each as the table-setters.
Kaye and Bonnell had the hits for the Hornets. |

Rookie Steve Lambert stepped up with a complete game 3-hitter as Al Thomas nipped South End 4-3. Lambert struck out 10 in yielding one earned run.
Ricky Salvucci had 2 hits for the A's, including the eventual go-ahead rbi in the 5th inning. John Kostas went 2 for 3 and Joe Barresi had a 2-run double. Lambert and Chuck Killens also collected base hits.
John Lunn pitched well for the Astros before tiring in the 5th, and Leo Villoreo crushed a home run. |

Ryan Stoller hurled a 3-hitter with no walks and 11 k's as the Al Thomas Club defeated West Roxbury 4-1 in a tough divisional game.
Bobby Barrett went 3 for 3 with 2 rbi, and John Kostas and Mark Daly ripped 2 hits each to pace the recently awakened A's offense. Chris Moore drove in 2 runs with a single and ground out.
Greg Rockwell pitched well for the Devils, while Phil Davies clubbed a run-scoring triple in the 1st inning. |

Talal Saleh picks up his 6th win of the season. "T" gave up a couple of early runs but settled in and pitched into the 6th inning.
McDonough finished the 6th and Tyler Middleton came in and pitched the 7th.
Cunningham had 3 hits and scored 2 runs giving him 30 runs on the season. Chris Wood, Lucas Einstein and Jay Sablone each had 2 hits.
Lambert pitched very well for the A's. |

AT's starting pitcher Potts was superb on the hill during his 5 innings scattering 6 hits, allowing one unearned run and walking none. |
