It took a 9 inning battle at Fallon for the Senators to knock off the gritty Grays and earn their first visit to the division finals. Congrats to the talented Grays for a great season and a tough series. You should be proud. Much luck in the future. Senator starter Matt Coyne squared off against CY winner Jay O'Hara and both went all 9 in a classic pitcher's duel. Unfortunately for the Grays, Coyne was a hair better working out of many jams, striking out 7 and surrendering 3 hits and 3 unearned runs. Offensively, the Senators jumped out to an early lead on a bases loaded 1B by Coyne and BB by Timmons. The Grays would take the lead in the 5th on several Senator miscues. In the 7th, with 2 outs and man on 3rd, Maryanski reached on an E5 allowing the tying run to score. In the 9th, Laliberte put the Senators ahead for good with an RBI 1B to RF. In the bottom half, 2B Adler capped off the night with a web gem to end the game.

The Senators take game one behind a complete game effort by CY hopeful Matt Mothander. The Senators offense was powered by Pedro Gil who lead off the bottom of the first with a solo home run and added some insurance with a triple later in the game to drive in Mothander. Fine defensive plays were turned in by CF Matt Orszulak who gunned down a runner at the plate, C Matt Meuse who gunned down a runner trying to steal second and Jerry Adler who turned a fine double play to put out a late game rally by Grays.

The Grays ended their season with a come from behind victory over the Brewers. The Grays jumped out to an early, but short lived, lead in the first. However, the Brewers were able to score four runs off of Grays starter Ted Wroblewski. Tom Corazzini and Nick Cronin lead the way for the Brewers offense knocking in 3 out of the 4 runs. Brewers starting pitcher Kevin Delaney pitched 6 strong innings allowing only 2 runs and striking out 5. However, the Grays were able to mount a 6 run 7th inning for the lead. The Grays head to their first playoff berth with some momentum. The Brewers had a strong inaugural season and were in the playoff hunt until the end. They head into the off season with a lot of the tools in place to make a run in the future.

It was a battle of Aces in the first round of the MABL's new series "Face-offs before the Play-offs" as the Tigers' Wlodarczyk squared off against the Grays' O'Hara at Ryan. The two Cy contenders came out looking the part as both dominated thru 2. The Grays got on the board in the 3rd as O'Hara reached on an error and was driven in on a nice single thru the hole by Beagley. They put another run on the board in the 4th on 2 hits, and O'Hara seemed to have all he'd need to lock up the Cy, but for some reason he was replaced in the 5th by O'Leary and the Grays could not hold the lead. The Tigers proceeded to score 3 in the 5th on 3 H and 3 SB, as Stevens, Long and Gib all drove in runs. The Tigers added 4 more in the 6th as Morgan, Fab and Silk picked up their RBIs to give Rich all the cushion he would need to avenge his only loss. Rich finished the game allowing just 5 hits and 1 ER for his MABL record tying 9th win.

Jack O'Leary threw a gem of a game as the Grays went on to defeat the Astros 5-2. O'Leary pitched a complete game, giving up 0 ER's, and striking out 8. The Grays jumped out to an early lead in the first, scoring three runs. It was a lead they would not relinquish the whole game. After the early lead, Astros pitcher Brian Gargone held the Grays scoreless until the 6th inning. The Astros were able to draw within one by the fifth. But the Grays tacked on two insurance runs in the 6th to seal the victory. Mike Gulinello lead the offense for the Grays going 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs.

In an exciting come from behind victory, the Grays came back from being 2 runs down in the final inning of the game. The Brewers jumped to an early lead in the first inning with a home run from Chris Greeke. However, after a rough first, Grays starter Jay O'Hara was able to settle down and hold the Brewers scoreless while striking out 10. Brewers starter Patrick Moreau had a two-hitter going until the Grays got their offense going in the 7th. Andy Pollock had the game winning hit in the exciting finish.

The Senators bounce back after an early deficit to beat the red hot Grays 15-6. The Grays jumped out to an early 5-0 lead after 2 innings on big hits by Jay O'Hara and Tad Beagley. However, in the 3rd, the Senators plated 6 on 5 walks, a hit batsmen and a clutch triple by Matt Mothander. Mothander would add another triple and double later in the game while John Maryanski collected his first HR. Matt Meuse was also 2-3 on the day with 2 RBIs and a triple. On the mound, Matt Coyne pitched the first 4 allowing 4 earned runs while striking out 8. Jonanthan Rheault closed the door for the second straight game earning his 4th save on the season.

In a rain-shortened game, the Quincy Grays were able to hold on for the win against the first place Tigers behind a strong outing by starting pitcher Jack O'Leary. The Grays jumped out to an early lead in the first and tacked on another run in the third. Then in the fifth, the Grays added two more with an RBI single by Scott Brodsky scoring the eventual game winner. The Tigers threatened in the sixth inning scoring three runs off of a double by Scott Stevens. The Grays were able to hold off the rally and hang on for the win.

In a back and forth game, the Grays prevailed behind another strong pitching performance by Jay O'Hara (7IP, 4H, 7K). The Grays got on the board first with an RBI single by Frank Nellenback in the second inning then tacked on another run in the third. The Astros, however, came back strong in the fourth. Micah Golshirazian knocked in 2 runs with a single to tie the game in the fourth. In what was turning out to be a pitcher's duel, the Grays finally got to Astros' Pitcher, Eric Harvey after 5 extremely strong innings. The Grays scored three more runs in the 6th and 7th to seal the victory. Rob Prenovitz had a day going 2 for 3 with an RBI and a SB.

The game remained scoreless until the 6th inning, withe extremely strong pitching preformances from both the Red Sox and Grays. O'Hara helped himself behind the plate going 2 for 3 with 2 doubles. Tad Beagley was able to knock in 2 runs as the Grays went on to the victory.

In a hard fought game by both teams, the Grays were able to pull a nail-biter of a victory out from the White Sox. The Grays pulled out to an early lead in 2nd scoring 3 runs which were spearheaded by a triple by Paul Branche. After a triple by Tad Beagley in the bottom of the 3rd, Mike Gulinnello was able to score the 4th, and eventual deciding run, on a sacrifice fly. The always potent White Sox offense began to fight back in the top of the 4th off of hits by Jonathan Numowicz and Michael Pollack. In the top of the 5th, Felix Villalobos was able to drive in another run to bring the White Sox within one. In the top of the 7th, with two outs, Mike McLaughlin was able to get on with a single, and pinch runner Brett Deware was able to steal second. However, Grays starting pitcher, Jack O'Leary was able to record a strikeout for the final out of the game. O'Leary pitched a complete game for the W, walking only 1 person.

Having won their two prior contests, the Grays entered the game against the Mariners with considerable momentum. Heading into the 4th, the Grays held a 2-0 lead thanks to timely hitting and smooth fielding. The M's bats finally awoke in the 4th, knotting the score at 2-2 until the 6th. In the top half of the 6th, with 2 on and 2 out, Frank Rich came through with a clutch 2-RBI single to put the M's ahead for good. For the M's, Matt Dumont pitched brilliantly, allowing only 1 earned run and 4 hits over 6 innings to pick up the win. Wade Briggs pitched the 7th and picked up the save. Offensively, Michael Parker had 2 hits and a RBI to pace the offense. For the Grays, Frank Nellenback had an RBI single and Jay O'Hara got the game started with a double.

Dumont pitched a solid game while Rich put the M's ahead for good; Nellenback's RBI single staked the Grays to an early lead.

For the first time this season, the Grays were able to string together consecutive wins behind another complete game pitching performance by Jay O'Hara. Through 7 innings, O'Hara gave up only 3 hits and struck out 7. The Grays started off scoring a run, but the Astros were able to bring it even in the bottom of the first off an RBI single by Jon Mayes. Then in the third and fourth the Grays were able to build a lead and maintain it for the win. Tad Beagley continued his torrid hitting pace going 3 for 3 with a walk. Steve Baldassari, Jay O'Hara, and Mike Gulinello each drove in a pair, and Scott Brodsky knocked a shot of a double as the Grays go on to win 8 to 2.

The Grays jumped out to an early lead and were able to keep it behind the 2 hit complete game pitching performance of Jay O'Hara. O'Hara had a no-hitter through the 6th inning until it was broken up by Chris Stockbridge. O'Hara racked up 8K's when it was all said and done. The Grays provided plenty of offensive support driving in 9 runs off of 8 hits. Steve Baldassari went 3 for 4 and had 2 RBIs. Paul Branche had an impressive 3 RBI night.

Kevin Bell led the O's to victory with a CG 7K performance. He also drove in the GW-RBI with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 6th that broke a 6-6 tie. The Grays jumped out to an early 4-0 lead but the O's bounced back with a 5-run 3rd highlighted by Eric Fudeman's bases-loaded triple. For the O's, Ari Rosa reached base all three times while Chris Buckley had 2 hits and scored 2 runs. Meanwhile, Steve Baldassari led the Grays offense going 3-3 with a HR while Tad Beagley racked up 3 SB.

KBell gets it done on the hill and and with the stick. Fudeman and Buckley spark the O's offense.

The Quincy Grays notched their fist win of the season behind a stellar 3-hit shut out pitching performance by Steve Baldassari (6IP, 3H, 0R). The Grays jumped out to and early lead in the second inning and were able to hold onto it for the W. Grant Emde had himself a day going 3 for 4, with 2 RBIs, a run, and 2 SBs. Despite strong pitching performances by Jonathan Courtemanche and Daryl Pina, the Grays were able to scatter 10 hits and bring in 4 runs. The Reds threatened in the 6th with hits by Derek Garebedian and Ryan Melia, but the Grays were able to hold on behind strong pitching and a great team defensive effort. Jay O'Hara closed the game out for the Grays with a 1-2-3 7th inning.

The Grays got the jump on the D-backs by scoring 4 runs in the first 4 innings and kept it 4-1 going into the 7th. But the D-Backs offense got their 2nd wind in the top of the 7th when Roger Peguero hit a 2 run HR over the right field fence cutting the lead to 4-3. One batter later, Kurt Matarese blasted a solo shot to tie it 4-4 with 1 out. With 2 outs and the bases loaded, the Grays walked in the go-ahead run and the D-Backs closed the game out with a win. For the D-Backs, Omar Ortiz went 4-4, Roger Peguero went 2-2 with an HR, 2RBIs, Kurt Matarese went 1-3 with an HR and 1 SB. William Grossi went 1-1 with an RBI, 2 BB, and 2 SB. Brian Cosentino (6 IP, 7 K, 2 BB) pitched well for the Grays.

On just 3 days rest, Chad Griffiths pitched a complete game gem as the Tigers earned their first shutout of the season over the Grays. It would take only 3 hits from the Tigers' offense to get the job done as defense and timely hitting was the story of the day. Silky lead things off in the 1st with a walk and then advanced to 2B on wild pitch. Field then moved Silky over to 3B on a deep fly to LF and Pollard brought him home on a SACF to RF. That would be all the runs the Tigers needed as Griffiths was able to get himself out of a couple innings on two successful pick off attempts at 1B. Thanks to the Grays for their diligent work on the field before the game.

Sparked by a 2-rbi triple from Mike Knell in the first, the Reds took a lead they would not relinquish. Even with a new jersey on, Pina was his usual self going 7 strong with 10K's to get his first win as a Red. The game was close throughout until a late game flurry of well placed hits and some web-gems from Matt Bloomer at 2nd base sealed the deal. For the Grays, Tad Beagley had a perfect night going 3-3 with an rbi. Congratulations go out to Brian Greene who celebrated the birth of a healthy baby boy.

The Rangers homered three times and 3-hit the Grays on their way to an 11-3 victory on Opening Day. On a murky day at Pond Street, the Grays took the early lead with a 3-spot in the first. Rutkiewicz, Steffens, Krueger, and Rexrode combined to no hit the Grays over the next 6 frames. Down 3-1 in the fourth, Paul Bracco led off the inning with a solo homer. Two batters later, Bernie Stevens went deep to tie the game at 3. The Rangers tacked on two more in the 4th before more power in the 5th inning. Davin Wilfrid hit a two run shot, extending his homerun streak to two games dating back to last season. Bracco (3-4, HR, 2 RBI) led the Rangers hit parade and made a highlight reel catch in centerfield.
