Kevin McGowan notched a complete game in the season opener, as the A's held on for the victory. The A's took a 4-1 lead and held it until the 7th, when the Cutters rallied to score two runs and get the tying run on base before the threat was ended.

Offensively, Jamal Saleh and Andrew Billig led the way for the A's with two hits a piece.
