A rejuvenated Towne offense rattled around 13 hits for the second straight game with the two bigs hits both by Pete Pasciucco who drilled a two-out, two-run double in the first and a two-run triple in the fifth to break the game open. Joe McCabe, playing a great defensive shortstop these days, also smacked a single and an RBI double to go with two walks. Wayne Duggan went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI; Bill Andruskevich stroked two key singles; and Adam Merzel got his first two Park League hits along with executing a perfect sacrifice bunt. Franz Strassmann knocked in the sole Envelope with a single, one of only two hits allowed by Jim Klocek, who went the distance giving up no earned runs.

Towne's Dave Williams and Envelope's Anthony Lauretto hooked up in a stunning 13-inning pitcher's duel, each going the distance in a game called after more than three hours. Towne tied the game with two outs in the 7th on Kristap Aldins' RBI double, and each team let a golden chance get away in extras - Towne catcher Jared Wortzman making a great play at the plate to cut down a runner in the 10th; and Lauretto getting out of a bases loaded, one-out situation in the 12th on two infield grounders. Anthony Fantaroni had three of Envelope's five hits with the RBI. Don Ferbert had three hits for Towne.
