In an extra-inning thriller, the Boston Havoc defeated the Waltham Cutters 5-3 at Nipper. The Havoc mounted an exciting comeback, down 3-1 entering the 7th inning. The Havoc first scored in the fifth inning when Ben Cohen crossed the plate. The turning point arrived in the 7th, as pinch hitter Mitch Stern hit a clutch 2-RBI single, tying the game at 3-3 and forcing extra innings. In the top of the 8th, Connor Weathers started with a double and was driven in by a Brendan Pounds single, giving the Havoc their first lead. They added an insurance run on a Will Marsh single, securing a 5-3 victory. On the mound, John Medina earned the win, pitching all 8 innings. Although he walked 4 and hit 4 batters, he was dominant, allowing only 4 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 15 batters in the process. The win was the Havoc's second straight extra-inning victory this week. Stupendous!
