Boston Havoc 2, Boston Phoenix 0
The Boston Havoc improved to 5-0 by beating the previously undefeated Boston Phoenix, 2-0.
The Havoc plated a pair of runs in the 4th inning. Ryan Foley played a critical role in the victory, driving in Manny Dias, who had also singled, for the first run of the game. Foley also made 6 of the game's defensive outs.
Connor Weathers also left his mark, delivering a sterling 2-for-3 effort with two booming doubles and contributing an RBI. Weathers didn't just shine at the plate. He also showcased his fielding prowess with two spectacular catches in centerfield - one saving a potential run and the other sealing the game's final out.
On the mound, Mike Langmeyer was sensational in his debut start for the Havoc. Langmeyer pitched 6 stellar innings of 2-hit ball, striking out 6 and yielding only a walk to earn his first victory. Seth Perkins pitched the final frame without allowing a hit to notch the save and secure the shutout. |
