Trailing and down to their last strike with the bases empty, the Pirates miraculously found their way to victory with a walk-off at Barnes. Nick Melluzzo skied a 2 out double to center and Jon Shikora's much-maligned game plan finally bore fruit as the Angels starter began to tire and subsequently allowed hit batsmen, 2 walks & 2 wild pitches. Dan Brookfield got the start on the mound for the home team, and he battled his way to an epic complete game where he surrendered 0 earned runs.
