Palmer Club 10, Boston Blue Jays 5
Palmer takes down the Blue Jays in another late thriller. A solid team effort to pick up the win. Rookie Yancarlos Galves drew the start going 1 &1/3 striking out 4 and allowing 2 runs. Crafty vet Flash Anderson came in relief and went 4 strong, striking out 5 and allowing only 2 runs. Moose Bussiere came in relief with 1 out in the 6th and finished the game scavenging a win. The Palmer offense was stymied for the most part until the 6th inning. The only offense to that point was a 2 run blast by Jim "SweetFeet" Perron. A shot to right center that scored Aiden Hawley and allowed Perron to moonwalk acorss the bases. In the 6th Ted Williams Songin got a base knock and Jordan Yussman came in as a runner. He was able to score on a Jose Toledano single. In the 7th the team put together several great at bats getting the bases loaded and Tony Trafecanty hammered a pinch hit double to center to seal the game. |
